Crawl Back In is the debut single from Chester Bennington's side project Dead By Sunrise. The track was featured on the album Out Of Ashes and was digitally released as a single on August 18th, 2009.
The track received moderate success with little promotion, reaching #11 on the U.S Billboard Mainstream Rock Tracks, #22 on the U.S Billboard Alternate Songs & #22 on the U.S Billboard Rock Songs.
The song is said to deal with Chester's former drug problems which are relevant in a lot of his lyrics. Crawl Back In was also rumoured to be featured on the Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen movie soundtrack, but was later confirmed as not being used by Chester himself.
The song had a video to accompany it which was released on September 8th 2009. The video was shot in a rocky landscape with the band performing to the camera. The video also focused on broken and beat up statues in the ground which re-enforced the message of the song. The video was directed by P. R. Brown who also shot a version of Let Down.
The single featured live tracks of Crawl Back in and My Suffering, both shot on July 30th 2009 at Cannstatter Wasen in Stuttgart, Germany.
