Faint is the second single to come off Linkin Park's second studio album Meteora. The track helped Linkin Park capture their third #1 on the U.S Modern Rock Tracks, and placed #15 on the UK Singles Chart.

There are in fact two versions of the CD single available to purchase, Faint 1 & Faint 2 feature alternate colored cover art, red & green respectively, and feature a difference in track listing. The music video features a silhouetted band performing in front of a spotlight before a live crowd and ends with Mike Shinoda spray painting the word "En Proceso" on a garage door, which is Spanish for "In Progress". Ironically you can hear a work in progress version of the track on the LPU 9.0 CD, which features a slightly different arrangement and alternate lyrics from Mike Shinoda.
