    MARCH 2013

What Is the LPA Monthly Mix-Up?
LPA Monthly Mix-Up is an ambitious concept intended to showcase the massive amount of musical talent currently unheard among the Linkin Park fan community. Every month, we will be challenging fans to compete and show off their musical skills, using any and all tools available to them to create their entry. At the conclusion of each competition period, our staff will then go through each entry submitted, and pick our absolute favorite to be featured on the site as the "Winner Of The Month". To promote fairness, runner ups will also be shown, but only one lucky Linkin Park fan will walk away with the honor of being featured as the "Monthly Winner". Now that we have that out of the way view this month's theme below.

Our official theme for the month of MARCH 2013 is:

    LPU-12 FREE FOR ALL

This month we are allotting remixers the freedom to do what ever you feel like doing because it is another FREE FOR ALL! This time, we ask that you use songs from 2012's LP Underground CD. Choose any song or any combination of songs to use and remix away! There are no specific requirements outside of the use of at least one LPU-12 song choice(s). You may mash up any song of your choosing as long as a LPU12 song is present! Good Luck!

Good luck, remixers! Yet another great theme this month. I hope some creative soul remixes the POA or Forgotten demo. :kappa:

Crap. I haven't even listened to LPU12 yet. This one might be lost on me.

    Hey guys,

Hope you're well. Haven't had a lot of time for any remixing of any kind lately, due to other commitments, but thought I'd share a fun little Mash-Up to get the ball rolling this month.

I've had this sitting unfinished for a couple of months, and thought now might be a good time to dust it off and finish it. I'm sure there will be more adventurous entries this month (in fact, I'm not even sure if my entry is legitimate due to the use of a non-LPU track) but I thought you'd enjoy hearing it anyway.

    Cheers guys.

I present: "Asbestos / Given Up".

Well fucking done! I was planning the same, but I don't know if what I can do will hold a candle to what you did there... Back to the drawing board...

    Holy shit!

Before hearing it, I was wondering how you could make Asbestos guitar/given up melody match together. The new melody you brought there is impressive. Pretty well fucking done! :chuck::chuck:

Don't worry, we just discussed this and we decided to clear up the rules and make it a further free for all by allowing mash ups with other songs. You're fine!

A free for all should be just that, in my opinion. ;)

My entry is a little bit longer than the average one.

I created a Power Hour, 60 minute playlist of LP songs changing every minute. I've turned a normal drinking game into what can also be used for the everyday listening pleasure. Normal Power Hours cut at exactly a minute or have some dumb sound effect to let you know to drink each minute. My Power Hours are designed with smooth transitions for people who just want to listen where/whenever. Don't be shy though -- grab a beer and a shot glass and drink every new LP song! Enjoy! :drunk:

Like I said on Soundcloud, I tried to create a fictive LPTV epsiode where LP is recording a demo, called Electropunk (Homecoming). It's somewhat of an unusual remix but I wanted to do something special since I've been away from the MMU's for quite a while. As it is with most "punk-esque" songs, they are quite short and energetic, which I tried to get across in my remix as well.

I hope you guys like it!

I sampled some things from this vid: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3ccTfI684VU
