I am not seeing anymore trailers. I'm developing a habit of not watching too many trailers for a while now. Keeps the "film watching experience" intact. This film looks fucking fantastic btw. So great to see Ridley Scott doing sci-fi again!
Yeah, the cast is impressive. Seeing Noomi Rapace starring in a big budget Hollywood film is pretty cool. As for trailers being too revealing, I have old-pothead memory when it comes to remembering anything spoiler-ish, for some reason. Give it a week or two, and it's like I never even watched the trailer!
in the beginning, i thought "meh, kinda looks like a cheap cash-in" (when the first teaser image and trailer were released) but now i think: seriously, this looks frigging amazing. the Sound Bite in the End of the Trailer gave me goosebumps. I've always really liked the Alien Movies, so i'm really looking forward to this one. "Negative" sidenote: Why are there so many awesome Movies coming this Summer? It's the same with Video Games. They want our souls....i believe...
This has just shot up to my most anticipated film of the year next to "The Dark Knight Rises". Amazing stuff. Great trailer(s). Already it looks better than all the AVP movies, Alien3 & Resurrection. & I actually loved the latter. I'm quite confident that this film will still be brilliant even if they don't mention the "Alien" creature at all. In fact, it could be the better for it!
This summer is packed with massive hits. Compare it to last summer and it's a little overwhelming. I'm gonna be seeing a movie every weekend.
Prometheus! It will be film of the year, mark my words. If you havn't seen Alien (the first one) I suggest you download it in 1080p and get tranported into another world, wipe your memory of any of that Alien Vs Predator bullshit too, this is will be Blade Runner level film-making.

I did check and I didn't see one, unless my eyes decieved me well.. just look at that set design, Giger baby! Oh.
Alien and Aliens didn't have great writing, but this looks like it does have potential to be somewhat deep. I'd think it'd have to be pretty extraordinary for it to be of better quality than The Dark Knight Rises, though.
Both of those films have a good amount of depth, thematically and visually, and phenomenal performances from Sigourney Weaver which went a long way towards selling them otherwise.
