I really don't get the love behind Coldplay's "In My Place". It's really soggy and sappy and too "Coldplay-ish" and pales in comparison to the rest of Rush of Blood. I'm actually glad they dropped the song from the AHFOD tour but then they brought it back to the acoustic set because so many people kept requesting it. I did enjoy singing along to it since I was really close to the C-stage from my area.
I don't feel bad about enjoying 50 Cent, Waka Flocka, 2 Chainz, Rick Ross... can understand if someone mocks me for it but oh well
I like Mike Shinoda's singing waaay more than his rapping, and go so far and say he is my favorite male singer ever!
Guns N' Roses are pretty overrated imo. I enjoy most of their songs, but still ... Slayer are kinda overrated, too At least after Seasons in the Abyss
None of these artists excite me. Off the top of my head Picture Me Broken, Heart, and VersaEmerge are the only rock bands with a female singer that I actually listen to and enjoy. Anyway, Kendrick Lamar's "To Pimp a Butterfly" is boring.
As much as I love Nirvana, I actually agree with you. I had already got into the Foo Fighters way before I even started to check out Nirvana's discography.
I can't win. Another opinion Gibs will not like: The album version of Coldplay's Everglow is just as good as the single version stripped down, each with different strengths.
