Nickelback isn't really as bad as people say--I like a good portion of their music. Yes, they're extraordinarily radio-friendly rock, but they actually have some great songs. Come at me.
I like Daft Punk but I also think they're overrated What they did with their brand and look is pretty incredible and iconic though.
I think Female Singers should stay out of Rock Music. Note: That is not sexism, that is I don't think most female rock singers sound good. However, I really do enjoy female pop singers and country singers
Strongly disagree. I don't think that's something that's simplified to "one is better". Entirely situational. Limp Bizkit actually has some good songs. :nokappa:
The only rock band with female vocals that I listen to is PVRIS and she sound fantastic. And I don't know if MisterWives counts as rock band but the singer Mandy singes way better than any male singer I heard in my life.
I saw a thread on r/popheads about preferences towards female vocalists the other week, but it wasn't about rock per se
MBDTF is Kanye West's worst album. Thanks for posting this! That post by kappyko got me thinking a lot!
Nah, Paramore would like to have a word with you. Their newest album might be Pop, but their older stuff was clearly Punk/Alternative Rock. To add to that I love female fronted Death Metal and Hardcore bands! Abnormality, Cerebral Bore, Walls Of Jericho, For I Am King, Arch Enemy etc. ...
Ah r/Popheads! the best music sub on reddit imo, there's lot of fun there It depends tbh, I also don't like the permanent usage of auto-tune like Migos & Future (it sounds terrible imo). But I love it when it used as vocal effect with an artistic way like Purity Ring, CHVRCHES and this Elohim song.
