To be specific, they play 70s on 7. Annnndddd its trash (but I lived with 80s on 8 for a while and its not bad for the most part)
Every generation of music is trash! It's not a opinion, it's a fact! Just look at every generation's music and you'll see. Yes, we have more nudity and sex than ever before, but Sex was always a deal in the music industry and it sucked that we had to deal with it every generation, especially this one, but the 2020s are gonna be way worse. I can already image artist being fully naked and uncensored in music videos in the 2030. Linkin Park almost never had this element in their music. Sure there was a half naked woman in the bathroom in the Music Video of "Burning In The Skies". You could also see fully naked woman from the backside in the Music Video of "Final Masquerade", but this was more symbolic than sexual. Only the good songs from each generation gets remembered, hence why Linkin Park and Eminem are still dominating the German 2000s most wanted charts, with "In The End" being at N#1 and "Lose Yourself" at N#2, while both songs were huge hits in the 2000s, "Lose Yourself" was a bigger hit than "In The End. Some songs were way more successful than "In The End" and they were trashy hit songs. Nowadays, everybody almost forgot the trashy hit songs and now Linkin Park and Eminem are dominating the modern 2000s charts. Linkin Park has "In The End" and "Numb" in the Top 10 spot and Eminem has "Lose Yourself" and "Without Me" there too. "In The End" never left the N#1 since months, while "Lose Yourself" and "Numb" are switching their spots. Heck even "Remember The Name" by Fort Minor is in the Top 50. That's not really surprising since Linkin Park is still one the best 2000 acts and "Eminem" blew up in the late 1990s and had his biggest hits in the 2000s, they are still around this decade, with Eminem being more successful than Linkin Park at the moment. The cards might change as time passes, but who actually cares. Both Linkin Park and Eminem are badass. In the next decade, people are gonna remember Linkin Park, Eminem, imagine Dragons, Foo Fighters, Kendrick Lamar, Avicii, Sia, Kesha, Ariana Grande, Katy Perry and maybe Justin Bieber and Taylor Swift. While everybody will forget about Pitbull, Nicky Minaj, Daddy Yankee and maybe Drake. I already forgot about Pitbull. I hate him soo much!
Arguable, but I'd say she has a marvellous voice, indeed. One of my favorite female vocalists too, but don't forget Avril Lavigne, Amy Lee, Sharon den Adel, Simone Simons, Tarja Turunen, Floor Jansen, Anette Olzon,Charlotte Wessels, Taylor Momsen, Lzzy Hale, Alanis Morissette, Bjork, Dolores O'Riordan, Hayley Williams, even Chelsea Wolfe or Julien Baker, who are not that well known. I'd include Taylor Swift on that list too. Just in terms of voices, in terms of consistency the list would shrink a bit.
There are many great female singers, I think more than male singers from what I normally listen to. Sometimes even in the one hit wonders there are good vocalists, both male and female, but some just didn't stay for some reason.
Bands, who change their members for whatever the reason is, shouldnt automatically change their name. People should give things a chance.
-95% of Linkin Park's fanbase only listens to white rappers (if any rap beyond Linkin Park/Fort Minor at all) -Modern R&B is underappreciated. -Limp Bizkit weren't THAT bad -Rage Against The Machine is overrated -Run The Jewels is far more entertaining than EL-P's solo work -Drake makes some of the best pop rap -Eminem's music, while a talented emcee, has not aged well with bland production, recycled concepts, and some really bad albums.
I basically didn't start liking R&B until 2011 (and rap music around the same time). Not sure I would say it's underappreciated, though, because current R&B acts have made a big mark on the pop landscape and, commercially, they do alright.
