We can move this discussion to the thread I have created about this. Can you please post your message there and I'll add mine as well and delete them from here? Some songs like Girlfriend and Complicated are massively overrated, but others like Wish You Where Here, My Happy Ending, Nobody's Home, I'm With You, Keep Holding On, Give You What You LIke, Rock N Roll are very underrated. Wish You Were Here is my favorite by far, butI really like all the others too. Basically apart from Girlfriend and Complicated all other singles are tremendously underrated in my opinion. Overall she's a very underrated artist. In my country she never had a number one album and spent exactly 30 weeks between numbers 10 and 30 and on the second album she spent 19 weeks on chart peaking only at number 3, which is to say that she still sold many records, but not as much as it should have taking the quality of those two albums as a whole into account.
I agree with this so so so so much! So many good metalcore bands out there I could go on and on for days
While I don't think it's the best Metal genre (I prefer Melo Death and Technical/Progressive Metal) it gets lots of undeserved hate. August Burns Red, Parkway Drive, Killswitch Engage, Unearth, Architects, Phinehas, Fit For A King, Oceans Ate Alaska etc. ... are imo amongst the best modern Metal bands. Hell even The Devil Wears Prada turned from a once mediocre scene band to a serious Metal (core) outfit. ABR or Architects, for example, rival lots of “real Metal“ acts in terms of skills and technical proficiancy. The genre only gets flake from “True“ - Metal heads, because of crappy scene bands such as Asking Alexandria or BMTH. --> now come at me
You said what now mate?!?!?!?!?!? But seriously, both those bands rock and I have seen them both live But I agree with your overall point. There are a lot of good bands in the genre.
lol I wanted to agree with you but BMTH is one of my favorite bands Also Asking Alexandria first album is amazing, I think you meant shitty bands like Attila & Emmure.
Yep, those as well Sorry I just don't like AA and BMTH. And while they're far from the worst bands out there it's actually true that those kinda bands are at least a little responsible for the negative image of Metalcore within the Metal scene. But seriously Metalcore and Deathcore get way too much hate. Even if one doesn't like AA or BMTH, like me, there are dozens of other great bands to discover.
On the same subject, Pop Punk gets too much hate for no reason as well. Lots of great artists out there!
Eh, Bring Me The Horizon gets better and better as more they release more albums (well actually I can't stand to listen to anything pre-Sempiternal). And in my (controversial) opinion, their best songs are their more poppy ones from That's The Spirit.
That's for sure, a great genre with many great artists, punk-influenced music in general, not only pop-punk, we can cite great names like Green Day, Paramore, Green Day, Simple Plan and Avril Lavigne, at least those are the ones I like the most, but there are others. As to Katy Perry not making good music it's true nowadays, but she had songs I used to like, for example Roar, Dark Horse, Last Friday Night, Wide Awake, Part Of Me and The One That Got Away, but at that time I would pay much more attention to pop music than nowadays. The only pop artist I think makes some good music is Ed Sheeran, but I only know the songs which are singles. Adele used to do so, but her music got worse with time.
100% agree, TTS & Sempiternal are fantastic, and Doomed is their best song imo. and I actually only like There's a hell... and 3 songs off Suicide Season from their older stuff, I can't stand their Deathcore stuff at all
I somewhat agree with you guys. Sempiternal is my favorite Metal album of all time but I personally think Suicide Season I their second best album with That's The Spirit coming in 3rd place. I actually really, really like That's the Spirit as well but Suicide Season is just 10 tracks of straight perfect to me I actually just posted my top 20 BMTH tracks in the top 29 of an artist thread, only 1 was from Count Your Blessing and 1 from There's a Hell/Heaven, all other 18 were solely Suicide Season, Sempiternal, and That's The Spirit
Haha strange, Suicide Season has only 3 good songs imo (Chelsea Smile, Diamonds Aren't Forever & the epic title track), didn't liked the rest at all even The Sadness Will Never Ends which is one of the most popular BMTH songs. but I love There's a Hell...
There's a Hell/Heaven is a good Album in my opinion, I won't disagree with that, I just prefer the other albums more. What I came here to say: P!nk does music better than her comparable peers (Ke $ha, Katy Perry, Sara B, Adele, ect.)
