I have a rap group called Gene Unit. It's 30% serious and 70% just joking around. Members: Me, RJ, Marcello, and Gene. He used beats from other songs. Gene is learning to make his own beats at this moment. We got 14 songs. We had a 12 song CD called Bangin' The Bitches With No Rubbers. We just handed them out at school. I'm surprised nobody made fun of us. I mean, 4 white kids rapping. @Casey: What happened to "Casey & The *******"?
I was once in a band called Operation: Prettyleaf. We didn't make any music but we covered songs. We ended it because no one had time to rehearse.
It takes Gene Unit 10 minutes to make a song. 01// Write lyrics during Study 02// Download a beat off LimeWire 03// Record lyrics over beat on cheap recording equipment If you want to hear some songs, IM me at GrkMagas21.
Of course I have a band. ^^; It is also my username, Monatori (At least it is original.) Our first album is going to be called Dark Anatomy. It is currently in progress. Everyone who was there when Amanda and I took up like 3 pages talking knows I have a band formerly know as 9 Volt. There's now only 2 of us, and we ditched the name after we booted our drummer and found maybe 4 or 5 other bands with the same name. Right now we're called Holiday Special, hence, my sig. So far, we've been playing mostly indie and pop punk/powerpop or whatever, but we have one metal song that I just just scream in...Anyway, I'm working on our MySpace, and we're fitting in recording time at James' house whenever we can. Detail Stuff: Genre: Rock/Indie/Pop Punk Members: Matt and James (We each play whatever instrument we feel like) Label: We suck. No one would sign us. Past Names: 9 Volt, Pool Junkies, Letterbox, Redundant, Stompbox...I forgot the others. Albums:Ha, You Lose!, May I Take Your Order? In two words, we suck.
You guys sound like you would be cool. Good luck on getting a record deal! ^^; Btw, a little tip on that. It isn't easy getting one. You have to play for a long time. You have to keep getting money and keep getting people to host shows for you. Once you keep getting bigger and bigger, if a record company likes you, they will sign you up. So I wish you good luck. I may have to check out some of your guys' songs. XP
Ha! I totally forgot about that! Anyway: Band - Currently, we're nameless. But I want to call us Remembering Jeremy. No one else likes it though. Ah well. Genre - We do everything except rap. Rock/Jazz/Country. Even the occasional swing when we're quite bored. Label - N/A Members: Amanda (me) - vox/bass guitar/keyboard Emily R - vox/lead guitar Emily A - vox/rythm guitar Our drummer quit. <_<
