Avril Lavigne - Avril Lavigne Genres: Rock; Pop Best Songs: Rock N Roll (one of her best songs, edgy guitar solo), Let Me Go ft Chad Kroeger (perfect piano play, consistent vocals from both, great lyrics), Here's To Never Growing Up (one of the most addictive songs), Hush Hush (great way to finish an album, love the clapping sounds, the vocals are top notch, some of her best ever vocals, great lyrics, one of her best ballads), Give You What You Like (one of the most underrated songs, great acoustic guitar and clapping sounds, standout voice and good lyrics) Ok Songs: Bad Girl (I wish Marylin Manson had more presence on the song, but there's still good interplay between both and solid vocals), You Ain't Seen Nothing Yet (addictive, but not to the same extent as Here's To Never Growing Up, a bit childish song, but very likeable, great drumming and a kickass chorus), 17 (also a bit childish as well, one of the most addictive with a good beat and a kickass chorus as well) Worst Songs: Hello Kitty (probably will never like it), Sippin' On Sunshine (not a bad song, the chorus has a lot of energy), Hello Heartache (have mixed feelings about this one, but has good vocals and lyrics), Falling Fast (great lyrics and vocals, not a bad song at all but I can't seem to like it as a whole for no damn reason), Bitchin' Summer (like the acoustic guitar in it, good beat in the chorus, but it's too loud compared to the rest of the song, lyrics make no sense) This album has grown so much on me since the first listen and now I feel like it's close to Let Go in quality because apart from having 2 or 3 bad songs, at least those have energy and good vocals. Let Go has much better lyrics in most songs, although vocals could have been better from track 8 to the end. This self-titled album is one of those that needs more listens to get the songs, but is also one of the best growers ever. Rating: 8/10 (probably too high considering Hello Kitty, Sippin' On Sunshine and Bitchin Summer are bad songs, but all of the best songs are perfect or close to that and the ok songs are not too far from the best ones) Las Ketchup - Hijas Del Tomate Genre: Latin Pop Found out that I had this one, remains as one of the albums with the biggest one-hit wonder singles of the 2000s. All songs are pointless. I understand Spanish and the lyrics make no sense, but this album is worth the memories.

Came to post this! What did you think of the album? I need more listens of it obviously but my initial thought is its a good album but doesn't come close to his last album.
Had to listen to it again to get a proper feeling of it, as my stomach was not feeling good at all when I heard it last night. Though I may need more time to digest it, I think it's one of the best of his solo career. Though it doesn't reach the heights of Hand Cannot Erase (one of my favorite records of his, solo or Pocupine Tree), it's fantastic. I'm glad to see him embrace the more pop-oriented side of his song-writing, which he hasn't done in a while for any of his main projects. The main issue I have with it is, even though the album is really diverse and has incredible flow, that it isn't a concept album, which he has been doing for a while now. While a "normal" album isn't inherently bad, it gives the album a distinct lack of cohesivness that Hand Cannot Erase or The Raven that Refused to Sing excelled at. "Song of Unborn," though a great song, just doesn't give me the emotional payoff other finales of his album have had, such as Happy Returns / Ascendant Here On... or the title-track to The Raven that Refused to Sing have. Another small grip I have is that some parts of songs sound a little to much like songs he's done before, but that's been a thing with him for a while now. Some of my favorite songs from it are: Refuge Pariah Permanating Song of I Refuge is one of his best songs in a loooooooooooooooong time. The use of harmonica on the track is absolutely FANTASTIC. Placing Permanating directly after Refuge on the tracklisting was a stroke of genius.
Hmm, nice thoughts you have posted here. I also have to listen to it more to digest it as I only gave it one listen so far since I have been listening to the new Brand new album in repeat. I think it's better than "Raven" by a long shot but I also feel that it's a bit underwhelming after we got Hand. Cannot. Erase. which I agree is one of his best albums of his career from any of his projects. My favorite part about this album is how well it all flows together. The track listing was assembled brilliant and the instrumentals had me in awe a lot of the times. My favorite songs after my first listen were: To the Bone and People Who Eat Darkness. Need more listens to decide my other favorites but those two really stuck out to me on the first listen.
Steven Wilson - "To the Bone" Genre: Progressive Rock / Art Pop Various Artists - "Baby Driver (Music from the Motion Picture)" Genre: Rock / Soul / Jazz
Joy Division - Unknown Pleasures Genre: Post-Punk I've been waiting for a guide to come and take me by the hand Could these sensations make me feel the pleasures of a normal man? These sensations barely interest me for another day I've got the spirit, lose the feeling, take the shock away
Brand New- Science Fiction. By far my album of the year, nothing even comes close and there have been a lot of good albums so far this year. We had to wait 8 years for this album, but if I had to chose between waiting 8 years again and getting 2 or 3 less quality albums in that time span, I would take 8 years every single time. I'm positive this will become one of my favorite albums of all time. It's clear the fact that it took 8 years to release a new album did wonders for them, going from their worst album to date to one of their best ever. In 2016 they were writing an album and weren't happy with it and scrapped the entire album. The scrapping of that album made people believe that an LP5 would never come out because they had announced earlier that year that they are retiring in 2018. I'm 100% sure that whatever they scrapped would have not been nearly as good as this album ended up being.
Amon Amarth - Versus The World (Melodic Death Metal) Still one of my favourite Metal albums ever! Heavy, crushing and epic.
Breaking Benjamin - Phobia Genre: Alternative Metal; Post-Grunge; Hard Rock Definitely a great album. Listened to it some more times and will definitely decide to buy it.
PVRIS - All We Know of Heaven, All We Need of Hell Genre: Alternative rock Vérité - Somewhere in Between Genre: Indie pop / Alternative pop Billie Eilish - dont smile at me Genre: Indie pop / Alternative pop
New Order - Movement Genre: Post-Punk, New Wave Joy Division - Closer Genre: Post-Punk I never realized the lengths I'd have to go All the darkest corners of a sense I didn't know Just for one moment, I heard somebody call Looked beyond the day in hand, there's nothing there at all Now that I've realized how it's all gone wrong Got to find some therapy, this treatment takes too long Deep in the heart of where sympathy held sway Got to find my destiny before it gets too late
