Dead by Sunrise- Out of Ashes This was the first time I had listened to the album in probably 5 years or more. I always found the worst LP related project until STP with Chester and The Hunting Party came around, citing it worse than Fort Minor and both Grey Daze albums. When I was listening to the album it was better than I remember it being but I still share the same sentiments about the album and would not move it's ranking up or down. When I was listening to the album, three songs stuck out to me. Two of which I will forever view the lyrics differently. These songs are: Too Late, Condemned, and Walking in Circles. Too late: "It's cold and dark I think I'm going insane The end is coming its true I'm all alone and I am screaming your name It seems that's all I can do But it's too late to turn back now It's too loud to hear a sound I'm so lost I can't be found It's too late to turn back now It's hard to focus when your life is a blur It's hard to see the truth How can I move on when there's so much to learn And every road comes back to you" It's like Chester is telling us that it's too late to save him and what's coming will eventually come and there's nothing we can do to stop it because it's already pre-written. Very emotional lyrics. Walking In Circles: "Alone in a world With millions of souls Walking in Circles Trapped in their dreams Unhealthy, unclean Walking in Circles, now Do not disturb Scream in silence Everyone's sleeping Quiet We're living inside of our mouths Afraid someone just might Hear what we're thinking Quiet Careful of what you might say 'cause they'll put you away" Too me it feels like now that Chester is telling us that you are supposed to keep these demon feelings locked inside of you because people will look at you crazy if you try to talk about it. It's like he has a war trapped inside of him but can do nothing about it, because society tells us to keep it inside. It's like he's lost but has no one there to help him.
I gotta add Dead By Sunrise's Out of Ashes and Stone Temple Pilots w/ Chester Bennington's High Rise.
I'm super hyped for this album but don't even cafe because of what happened. Probably won't listen to until August 8th since I will for sure listen to the new Neck Deep album instead of Linkin Park
I'm still hyped for at least 3 albums until the end of the year: Evanescence-Synthesis Avril Lavigne(Title still unknown) Epica- The Solace System EP But after what hapened I find it hard to listen to music now, not only to LP and songs from other artists make me feel sad and nostalgic as well, but I hope I can overcome this feeling with time.
I feel you. However I actually need other music to distract me. I just can't bring myself to listen to LP at the moment. It's too hard for me. It'll probably take a little while. Just to hear Chester's voice and the lyrics (which seem even more real now) ...
