You sir, are a man of excellence.
yeah, but do you remember the time?
It was late at night. Mike stopped in the LPU and then it was updated.
You've got that all inside out and backwards, bro.
"People just want junk food," he explains. "They want throw-away junk food music that's going to make them lethargic and fat. McDonalds is great once in a while, in moderation. Eat it every day and you just turn into a slob. We feel the same way about music. We want to hopefully move even more into being able to make more substantial music, and we've always been capable of it, but sometimes, there were different things that we got excited about on each record, about what we wanted to write and what we wanted to make and what kind of statement we wanted to make. On this record, we're definitely paying attention to the substance and the nuance"
He's saying they have made "junk-food" songs in the past but this time around he/they want more music with substance.
That quote was always my favorite. Made me the most optimistic about this new album.
wait....what time zone are you? i remember getting up early morning and all of a sudden around 10 am everyone was freaking out about finding words on the pictures.
Might've been around 10am then. The unfortunate thing is that LP doesn't exactly announce when the words are changed. It's mostly been a "update by secret, and let the update spread via word of mouth" campaign since the get go. I wouldn't be surprised if they change it again today...without anybody knowing.
Yeah, their work day probably won't end for probably another 12 hours or so (it's just gone 10am in LP land), if there's an update coming "today" my bet is it'll happen around then.
It's pretty stupid how they think they need a cop to "guard" LP songs from LP fans....
It's not to guard it from "fans", haha. It's just a general authority who will oversee all handling of the product to make sure there is no misuse, such as rerecording or reproduction of any kind.
Like Joe said, it's to prevent the sampler from leaking out onto the internet or being mass reproduced and sold without the band's knowledge/consent. Imagine spending 2 years working on an album, and someone took your hard work and leaked it in an unfinished state. It'd be devastating, and that's what the cop is there to prevent from happening.
James Bond won't stop me.
James Bond would scissor-kick you to the face and incapacitate you with a sleeper hold. Do not mess with James Bond!
Sorry my bad, I think I must have read it wrong at the time
Yes, Luke had a thing called an opinion which is perfectly acceptable around here.
How are they better musically?
That was hilarious
But seriously, he was just kidding around I think.
