http://www.wwe.com/inside/news/benoitpressures Apparently his son had Fragile-X syndrome which is almost like autism. http://www.accessnorthga.com/news/ap_newfullstory.asp?ID=94290 Benoit's doctor met with him the day of the killings. Also according to this article, (legally prescribed) steroids WERE found and thus could still be a reason for Benoit's sudden snap.
I doubt it was roid rage. The evidence so far given to us seems to show Beniot was not blind to what he was doing. We won't know anything for sure for a few weeks anyways. I definitely think their son's situation weighed heavily on their family though.
Apparently this is a first hand report from a neighbor of Chris Benoit. It might not be that credible but it was posted on Monday June 25th which you will all know to be a day before the actual 'details' of the deaths were released (we didn't know Benoit was the killer till Tuesday afternoon). In fact, she knew more than the initial press release gave out so I consider this to be real. Basically she paints Chris in a very bad light: http://www.xanga.com/MoonFaerie409/600037179/item.html With proof it was posted on Monday. Another article: http://www.thecitizen.com/node/18066
I'm still utterly disgusted at this situation. How the hell could someone who played off this role as "family man" kill his own fucking wife and son? Disgusting.
This taken from wrestling-edge.com: How strange...A huge coincidence if it is indeed a coincidence. I've been looking at this from all angles and to tell you the truth I wouldn't rule out this being a set up at all. The fact that the wikipedia update was made in the city in which the WWE headquarters are based is also rather convenient. Call me a conspiracy theorist but it wouldn't be impossible to think that WWE were behind this. Much like Eddie Guerrero's death, Benoit was scheduled to win his brand's title at the Vengeance PPV on sunday. The Eddie Guerrero death in itself was rather a story itself; a man who'd faught drugs and alcohol to become a sobre, religious man and a positive role model for all is suddenly struck down with a massive heart attack. Fair enough, that probably was the case, however don't you think it make's it all that bit sadder that it was Eddie Guerrero? The Benoit tragedy came in the midst of the Vince McMahon 'death' angle which was being given extensive promotion by WWE, so no one would suspect anything at all to interfere with this storyline unless something catestrophic were to take place. Think of it as if the Vince McMahon limo explosion was just a stepping stone to reel in the publicity and ratings before dropping an absolute bombshell like this: A mild-mannored man and iconic wrestler snaps and kills his family before killing himself. This story has given WWE so much publicity, needless to say none of it can be called positive, but it has drawn in publicity nonetheless. This theory is probably a load of crap though and I genuinly hope that it isn't the case however with these types of things you always have to think outside of the box. I can safely say that no one at all would have expected this to happen with anyone but especialy not Chris Benoit. I found the apology that the person who reported Nancy Benoit's death before the authorities had released any information on the Benoit tragedy to be somewhat fake or transparant. The reason I say this is because I'd think you'd all agree with me that saying Benoit's wife passed away is too much of a good guess. A family Emergancy could be absolutely anything. Here's what the apology said when it was written to the wikipedia community: The only reason I suspect anything fishy about this is because the person has on both occasions left him/herself anonymous. Surely if that person had nothing to hide then they wouldn't mind telling the public who they are and why they posted what was at the time a rumour. I don't necessarily believe these theories but I'm open to the fact that they could be true. Any Wrestling fan can tell you that Benoit was the last person you'd expect to do something like this which is why I myself am curious to hear any details and possiblities related to solving just what the hell happened over last weekend.
Another way this whole situation played out could have been based on this theory; Nancy suffocated Daniel, and then Benoit discovered what she did and strangled her before hanging himself. I know people said that Nancy died before Daniel but those reports cannot be confirmed or official until the tests undergo. This could likely be the case, even if it isn't, it's just speculation like everything else at the moment.
Some interesting things came into light now with this...taken from the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.
Source: The Associated Press When I first read this article, I thought it was kind of rude Also, an opinion column from a local newspaper actually had a good article. Source: The Patriot Ledger Either way, both of the articles are kind of making it known that no one really seems to care about the wrestlers until a death happens, and then it gets brushed back in our mind. It's so sad that it had to have so many deaths for people to actually start caring.
The media have always had it in for wrestling and always try to blame steroids or drugs on any incident that happens in the industry. So many times I've read articles blaming steroids for death, and then they go on to name wrestlers that die of other courses. The best one I read was one that named Owen Hart. It's ridiculous.
Apparently WWE are planning to bring back Sean 'X-Pac' Waltman. Chris Jericho should also be returning soon.
holy fucking shit, Jericho? YES! it's EXACTLY what the WWE needs right now, I believe. and X-Pac? are they planning on using HHH in DX again with HBK and X-Pac? or is DX finally dead? aaaand where do you get your wrestling news? I used to read up on it ALL the time, but then all the sites I visited closed up.
