He sounded like an awesome person from what I read up on him, that's why I think foul play wasn't involved. But then again, I don't know crap because I wasn't at the scene of the death =\.
This is truly painful. I have watched Chris Benoit from his WCW days. He was without a shadow of a doubt the greatest technical wrestler to ever grace the squared circle and I will miss him so so much. R.I.P Benoit. You are gracing a better place.
Two hours later it finally hit me that he's gone. I'm crying right now. Chris Benoit was one of my favorites since his ECW days. And he'll always be one of my favorites of all time, up there with Mr. Perfect, Bret Hart, and Jake Roberts. R.I.P. Chris Benoit and the Benoit family.
HOLY FUCKING SHIT. They don't know who was responsible? Who was it? Damnit. I hate it when shit like this happens.
I don't get it... From what I'm reading, it seems all too weird. I mean, Beniot snapped? From the looks of things, he was expected to be the new ECW champ. Perhaps home life was too chaotic or something? This is so bizarre...
Double murder suicide and not looking for suspects outside of the house. Basically it looks like they are suggesting he snapped and killed his family then himself. What...the fuck.
It just doesn't add up if you ask me. Beniot doesn't seem to be that type of guy. I'm going so far as to assume that perhaps his family got sick (what ever causes you to vomit blood) and there was no way to save them... Perhaps afterwards, the loss of his family was too much? Ugh, I just don't see Beniot being able to kill any one.
That could be a possible reason for what happened. But close friends of Benoit have always described him as a very private person. He always keeps very personal things to himself. The only people he ever let into his inner-circle were Eddie Guerrero and recently Chavo Guerrero. It has been stated that he spoke to Chavo on the Sunday, the possible day before his death and said "I love you". I can't see Benoit doing this but maybe his wife, Nancy told him she cheated or wanted a divorce? And that made Benoit snap. It is suggested he has "Roid Rage" as apparently steroids were found at the scene of the incident. But still, I can't see him doing this... period.
I have a feeling that whenever the final details emerge they are going to be extremely bizarre and throw everyone off guard. Something tells me there's a lot more to this whole ordeal then Benoit just going crazy.
Fair enough Benoit could have snapped after finding out his wife had betrayed him or something, but he would never lay a finger on his son. This is some truly weird and fucked up stuff going on. However we can't say that Benoit wouldn't be capeable of anything like this, after all none of us truly know what goes on in his personal life. With that being said though, every documentary I've seen which gave an insight into his life made him seem like a pretty straight guy. This is all too strange and fucked up. There's certainly something more to the story.
I keep reading articles about all of this and I'm in such denial. This is just a horrible thing to accept. Man... .
It's overwhelmingly bizarre. I think that's why it's so hard to accept. I know I've been trying to conjure up some explanation for personal reasons but I know we may never know the truth because of Beniot's private-ness and our lack of knowledge of the Beniot outside the squared circle. I just find it so hard to take because of the timeline given, the time in his career this all occurred and how it seems to be panning out thus far. Of course I won't jump to any conclusions until they come back with details, but even so, after it's all said and done, I am deeply saddened to think that this could hurt Benoit's amazing reputation as a wrestler and instead he'll be remembered as a murderer.
Apparently Dave Meltzer is making an appearence on Good Mornign America soon to discuss it. Don't know if he has any new details though.
This has just made me want to be sick: It also makes me feel so sad to know that Benoit had two other kids and they'll have to cope knowing that their father killed their mother and brother before ending his own life.
Gregory Helms (another wrestler and friend of CHris) has said on his Myspace blog that he thinks Chris' wife killed him and his son. I have to agree with him because I can't see Chris doing something like this. How convenient that they haven't even gotten autopsy results and yet they've somehow confirmed when all 3 of them died...of course they have to pin the deaths on the big tough wrestler guy, because being one automatically makes him the "violent one."
I was also reading something a little similar a few moments ago. Although I read that his wife killed his son and Chris rushed home and they got into a heated fight over the death of his son. Chris then killed his wife and then killed himself. Then again, who knows. There is just so many possibilities that I don't even know what to really believe anymore.
