You know how I said "DAMN!" was my favorite moment of the year. It just hit me what the hell happened this year that owns even Ron Simmons: Bob Saget revealing to the world that he was the masked CHIKARA commissioner. That owned all.
I think DX took a jab at VKM last night. With the whole "And there are some people out there jerkin there gerkin." comment. And what's CHIKARA? Never heard of it.
From what I've read, CHIKARA is a family friendly promotion based on luchadores. I could be wrong though. And yeah, you can tell DX took some potshots on RAW last night. I loved it. It's not really acknowledging TNA/VKM, but it is retaliation through subtle hints that those who keep up know what's going on and those who don't just see it as another promo. Speaking of DX, I could have sworn back when Triple H was heel earlier in the year (I think), he beat the holy hell out of Ric Flair once, trying to "end his career." Talk about continuity or inconsistent character development.
Yep, also Triple H and Shawn Michaels had like a 3 year fued which included them fighting in matches such as 3 stages of hell, elimination chamber, street fights and hell in a cell.
Continuty rules! And to answer your question Kaeton, CHIKARA is more so a light-hearted indy wrestling circuit. They have mostly serious wrestlers like The Kings of Wrestling, Eddie Kingston, and such...mostly dudes who wrestle in CZW since they're home is the ECW Arena. But it's mostly about luchas, guys from the future, and Necro Butcher dressed in a chipmunk outfit who does the CM Punk gimmick...his name: CP Munk. Oh yeah, their commissioner is Bob Saget. No lie.
Pro Wrestling Gorilla is another fun indepdent promotion run out of Southern California, by a wrestler named Super Dragon, who is all types of badass. PWG also employs the wrestler that the Godfather, circa 1999, wishes he could have been: The Human Tornado.
Super Dragon owns. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nMOxrLbxmyA Check that out. And about Human Tornado...http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C5_Wwj3HfW0 Yeah.
Actually, this is the video/tribute for Human Tornado that got me into him. It's hilarious. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z17NzdoFrQo
Well it's good news to report that Claudio Castagnoli got released from his WWE contract before even making it to OVW for training. He never officially reported to Developmental. Claudio was not forthcoming about his VISA issues, and Mike Bucci (formerly Nova/Simon Dean and Head of Developmental right now) took him at his word and in the end, there were problems with his paperwork. Bucci had some heat on him for not looking into things better, but in the end Claudio was punished as he was just released.
Since there were vids of Human Tornado dancing... I just found one of AJ Styles and Christopher Daniels dancing in 1PW It was quite entertaining
*does a jig* DX IS OVER! DX IS OVER! OLE LAY! OLE LAY OLE LAY OLE LAY! Sure you all know the news by now.
Triple H suffered a severe injury at New Years Revolution. He'll be out for a long time, thus it's likely that DX is over. You can just hear TNA fans marks cheering, "VKM DID IT! LOLz!"
Christ, and they had tapings too for iMPACT tonight. BTW, it was a ruptured quad tendon...4-6 months.
Thank god is all I can say, the Wrestlemania main event was scheduled to be Cena vs. Triple H II. But from what I'm hearing, DX wont be over, HBK will just be on his own for a while.
Yeah, but on Jim Ross' blog, he says, not to believe any Wrestlemania rumors until after the Royal Rumble.
