Listening to Live Audio Wrestling right now, Dave Meltzer thinks Eddie might have died of a brain aneurysm from a chairshot last week at the SmackDown! tapings. I'm guessing from Mr. Kennedy?
I am watching RAW right now and I am seriously in tears over the Eddie tributes. Oh man... . God I miss Eddie. R.I.P. <3 <3 <3
I don't know what he was trying to accomplish by saying all of those rude comments about Eddie's death. He's certainly not the first person to accuse wrestlers of steriod use and even him trying to speculate his death seems wrong to me. Even though it's his opinion and it's utterly disgusting, it's wrong to say things like, "who cares that he died". It's cruel to even say and think that. He's only hurting himself and losing respect from his listeners. What a heartless bastard. Props to Anthony Landrosh for his response to those comments.
Man, Raw was freaking emotional tonight. I've not been an avid fan of wresting for at least a year, but just to know that someone I used to love to watch has passed was just... wow. I did almost cry during some of the moments. Despite what people who dislike wresting say, it's still so sad to see someone passing, and it's even harder to deal with when the one who passed was loved so much by such a wide audience of fans. You have to admit, everytime someone we loved to watch dies, it's hard on a lot, so I think it's a bit unfair to publicly say "who cares if so-and-so died?" That's just disrespectful to the person in general and that goes beyond their profession. Anyways, yeah. Raw was really emotionally touching tonight, and I'm glad that the WWE does show the proper respect for those who pass in the profession.
If you listen to the actual interview, the guy never said "who cares?". He was wondering where a death like this would go, in the Entertainment or Sports. Of course, then he said Eddie's death wasn't important because he took steroids (IRONIC) and that if he died (the ESPN guy) he'd get a blurb in USA Today, while Eddie wouldn't. Or something.
I just finished watching Raw and I gotta admit there were times when I had to stop myself from crying. Viva La Raza Eddie Guerrero 1967-2005 R.I.P Eduardo
