Yeah, Strikeforce was awesome last night. I also watched the UFC which was plagued with bad judging, calls and decisions. It was unfortunate but Strikeforce pissed all over the TUF Finale last night. Pham & Garcia was a good fight & Brookins & Johnson wasn't too bad, but the KO's in Strikeforce made the better viewing for sure.
Since when did we start talking about wrestling again? In other news, I just got finished watching the Nam Phan fight and wow. Judges fucked up big time.
As always, a fight can go either way. However, I'm definitely rooting for GSP. The fight I'm really looking forward to is Alves vs Howard. Should be a good night.
I want to say that GSP has prepped himself for a few surprises in favor of trading fists with Koscheck, but I really don't see that going the distance. Lay and pray all the way leading into a submission seems likely.
GSP is amazing, and I love watching him fight. With that said, I wish he would take more chances -- especially with his stand up. His striking is really crisp, and he's light on his feet; he just prefers to wrestle, I guess.
Tonight's the niiiight. *edit Wow. GSP decided to go the distance and trade! Amazing and unexpected. I thought Koscheck would give GSP a good run for his money, but was utterly dismantled instead. Great show.
Koscheck give GSP a run for his money? Never. Judging from Koscheck's eye after only the first round, I think Roach trained GSP well. To quote GSP himself, "I was not impressed by your performance."
Alves looked incredible last night. Glad to see him rebound after his loss to Fitch. As for the main event, I love the fact that GSP absolutely schooled Koscheck with one hand, haha. The jab has to be the most underutilized strike in MMA, so it's nice to see a fighter actually use it.
That kick was the best thing I've ever seen in MMA, it was so amazing and wtf holy shit that actually landed I couldn't believe it when I saw it. I hope Maynard beats down Edgar, but I think it's gonna go to decision for Edgar.
Indeed. Would really like to know the circumstances here because if it isn't justified it's a pretty fucking stupid move.
I'm willing to bet it was something akin to MVP's release. You don't release the NXT Season 2 winner on Christmas Eve for no reason. Either that, or something happen. Low-Ki is known to be a pretty big mark for himself.
