I think it is the album without Mike so it is not the real one

 

dude, you're so behind on this. no, that is a completely fake album, track listing and all. on there is stuff from Grey Daze, Dry Cell, and some other bands. none are even linkin park.

 

I don't know if this has already been posted, And to be honest i really can't be bothered scrolling through 9 pages just to see..

But what does *Provisional Tracklisting* mean?.

 

I want you all to read this very closely.

"This was a year-and-a-half long process of really hard work and experimentation in the studio that yielded about 150 rough songs," guitarist Brad Delson tells Billboard.com. The band recorded 17 tracks and is now whittling down which ones will make the final cut. "Not only is this album incredibly diverse, but the depth of the material is really strong,” Delson says"

where does it say they will have 17 songs? they said they recorded 17 but they are "whittling it down" from there. wich makes sence that they will have cut some songs doesn't it?

 

Well, HT had 12 tracks and a lotta people say it was their best album. Hence, it all comes down to the richness of the music. If these twelve tracks are super-dope then I've got no problem.

 

Any guess as to which tracks have working titles as they have ahd working titles on two songs from both thier previous albums. Papercut and Points of Authority form Hybrid Theory and Figure 0.9 and Faint from Meteora.

 

Some of the tracks on there have pretty cool names. I think that Hahn's track is gonna be either In Between or In Pieces
But wasnt Bleed it Out and Leave Out All The Rest were working titles for one track?

 

Haha, greatest band on Earth. You need to get out more.

Of course they're gonna change their sound. It's called evolution. You don't get anywhere by staying the same. Yes, we all liked the old LP (to varying degrees), but don't you think you'd get sick and tired of hearing the 'same old same old' all the time? *coughMETEORAcough*

Take a look at any band, and you can see evolution to a different style. You can see it in Red Hot Chili Peppers, who started in totally funkiness and has slowly just incorporated the funk into standard rock (to pretty good success). NIN started off as dark electronic pop... and they've taken that into the rock scene as well. Black Eyed Peas started off real underground, and now they're just pop (not one of the better transitions, in my opinion).

The point is, LP IS being LP. Just because they're changing doesn't mean they're doing it under pressure. The fact that the band is proud of what they've done (no pun intended) is a sure fact that they are indeed still the band that we all came to love back in '00 (or earlier, considering when you got into them).

 

It was Leave Out All The Rest and When My Time Comes. Bleed it Out was a separate track.

And I agree to the above post. Linkin Park is all about mixing different styles together. If you keep mixing the same stuff, it's not new anymore (i.e. Hybrid Theory to Meteora). Hopefully Minutes to Midnight will be as different as they're saying.

 

Everything looks right... The songs listed on the track listing are the ones confirmed, and it doesn't have any of the "leak album" titles. I wonder what Valentine's Day sounds like.
I think I'm gonna spontaneously combust before May 15th.

 

For all of you saying 'well the band said there was going to be 16 tracks' or whatever... well wasn't Mike the one who said "Breaking The Habit" was never going to be a single?

The band can think one thing and the label another. At the end of the day, WB's the one that really decides.

I hope there's more, but the listing looks realistic to me.

 

as said before, I really think this is the tracklist (or atleast there will only be 12 on the album) and the rest they recorded will be exclusives and b-sides on singles OR for the special edition. regardless, I'm excited and this album is going to be amazing

OK, so that was hard, because I've got my own mindset on song titles, so I had to think of how songs might be named based on how Linkin Park names them. Anyway, it's not hard to make up a track listing.

Props to whomever finds the joke in that track list.
