    Nope, because:

    1) Rock music never wins Rock awards anymore anway

    and

    2) LP hasn't deserved the honor yet, in my honest opinion.

This is true. For a bunch of reasons, Linkin Park's style of music is now kind of against the grain and probably difficult for the casual fan to really dive into

In the words of Corey Taylor; "Show me on the doll where Fun is a rock band!"

Of course none of it matters. The Grammys is a bunch of old fucking farts who pick whatever got the most radio play. There is no actual merit to these awards.

Until its gone, and FM are not even nomination material for the Grammy's, and I love FM to me its like PMA part 2
you could argue GATS and Rebellion are but i cant see those 2 songs winning anything.

    So... much... kappa...

Anyways, bands/artists like Imagine Dragons and Lorde will win it. Not Linkin Park.

LINKIN PARK, one of today's biggest rock bands and still no Grammy's nominations? That's cool... Grammy's ?? Nah, too mainstream. :CUMULUS:

As long as LP is making music I could care less if they won an award. Rock music shouldn't even be a category anyway. Like many have said Lorde won last year. This year I would have put LP, Foo, and other actual 'rock' acts up for something. Good luck with that though.

They will win because the people who giving out the awards don't even seem to know what rock is anymore.

    Performance - singer
    Song - songwriters

Foo Fighters actually dominated a few years ago with Wasting Light. Sonic Highways isn't eligible this year because it was released last month, and the cut-off is in September. Lorde won last year in the pop categories, since she probably submitted "Royals" as a pop song. With the exception of Daft Punk and Kendrick Lamar, last year's nominees absolutely sucked. The rock winners - Paul McCartney & friends, Led Zeppelin, Vampire Weekend and Black Sabbath - were ok, but Imagine Dragons totally didn't deserve that Rock Performance Grammy, as much as I love and follow the band.

I dont even think the band cares about winning another grammy,
I mean sure it would be pretty cool if they won their third. If they cared
they would have made a grammy winning song.

Yeah, and they would definitely make a song or an album that is accessible to the general public once again but I doubt that they would go to the mainstream route again. It the indie demos were happened and appeared on THP, maybe it would have the chance to get a nomination for the Grammy's.

Why the fuck is everyone in here talking about how the Grammys "don't know what rock is"? Did you even read the nominees over the past few years?

Lorde was nominated as POP. You guys are thinking of the Billboard Music Awards. The Grammys seem to have a pretty decent grasp on what rock is. They just haven't nominated Linkin Park. Don't be blindly cynical people, look this stuff up. :p

First off, the Grammys lost their credibility with me when Crest Of A Knave beat out ...And Justice For All in 1989. Also, its kind of weird for me to look at the nominations for Best Metal Performance and see a COVER song up there. The Grammys are a joke. Award shows based on opinions of a so-called panel of judges are not the deciding factor for me buying or listening to music. Their opinion does not and will not ever be the same opinion as mine of what "good" music is.
