i am for mikes solo project. simply cause i have loved all the other side projects. i am usually more into rock music but these side projects have opened my eyes to the good side of hip-hop music cause all i thought hip-hop was about the bling bling and girls which i hate. now i can listen to good hip-hop cause i know what else is out there! ^_^

If you don't like the idea of Fort Minor, then just leave it be and stick with Linkin Park themselves. It's not as if they're going to release a new album in the next decade anyway. :p

definately for - mike has said in interviews and press releases that he feels that he hasnt been to express himself in the best possible light whilst with LP. so why not put out a cd..... i say fair play to him. i'll follow whatever he does and what any other members of LP desides to do later in life ^_^

I'm for the album. I always thought that Mike was the talent in Linkin Park, and this album is going to let him show it off. :) I just wish him good luck and success with the album.

For, of course. But now that LP is in this legal trouble with Warner this may get pushed back (as Machine Shop is part of Warner, I believe). Hopefully not though, as this could be great. Mike was basically the man behind Reanimation, one of their most interesting and diverse albums, and I'm sure this will at least match that.

I don't listen to any hip-hop, but if this solo cd is anything like his solo songs like Step Up, High Voltage, or Dedicated, I will be extremely pleased.

    EDIT: I'm for it!

Yeah, I speek Greek. Don't you recognize my username?

    It means Mr. People.

I am from Cyprus, as are you, Mario.

Anyway, back on topic. I guess I can see where you are coming from now that I think of it. If you think it's a bad idea, then just stick to Linkin Park.

I voted "For" because I'm going to buy it and listen to it when it comes out, regardless, but whether or not I'll still be saying "for" shortly after is up for grabs.

I really do think it will be good, though, I have faith in Mike.

I vote 'for' even though I hate most hip-hop, and I will explain why (so no one has to ask why). Most people associate hip-hop with rap, right? Well, essentially, they are the same thing (in my mind, correct me if I'm wrong). Mike doesn't rap about stupid things, or just say shit about hos. He actually puts a message in his lyrics, rather than a catchy beat with random shit. There ya go. Feast on that.

Yeh they pretty much the same thing. But, Hip Hop is the culture and rap tends to be the music.

There are lots of emcees out there that puts a message in their lyrics. And believe it or not there are actually more rappers of that kind around than the ones that talk shit.

Your just not looking hard enough my friend.

i am for his solo album. mainly because I have always been into his rapping. And I don't like hip hop music, but I love the way Mike throws it down. He just has a way of doing it. I always listen to LP albums waiting for Mike's solo rap part. Now if he's making an album, I don't have to wait, cuz the whole thing will be his solo! I mean I don't know how exactly I'll feel about it until it's out in stores and I buy it and hear it for myself. But I do know that I'm gonna miss that LP style. We'll just have to see. But I love Mike to death...this solo thing was bound to happen soon enough anyways..and I couldn't be more excited for him or the album!
