Winnipeg, MB, Canada...the mosquito capital of the world... As far as Canadians' view of Americans, I don't have a very dim view of them at all. I've been to Minneapolis (twice), Fargo (twice), Grand Forks (more times than I'd care to count) and Chicago (once), and only in Chicago did some people act rude towards me (even though they didn't know I was Canadian)...I caught someone shortchanging me at a Taco Bell, and he acted like I'd burned a flag in front of him...all defensive and telling me I'm an idiot, etc... Most people up here think that America is like Canada with more guns and rednecks...although that's not entirely true. Yes, America has way, way more firearms per capita than Canada does, and yes, it's typically a more violent society, but I go to lengths to avoid the violent parts of the typical American city. All in all, I don't have much of a problem with the States, but some of the people down there know jack about Canada, whilst I know American geography like the back of my ass...
