You have the time wrong. darcy was caught before me, not after. ....not that it really matters I suppose. Oh, and the people that aren't getting posts are disqualified, right?
I think Darcy may have been caught before you, but nobody sent me a PM because it was "settled off the books" or something. Then I caught her after you, I think. Not sure, though. Nobody's disqualified, per se. It's just that whenever the contest ends, I'll be checking to see if they've met their post quotas. That makes them eligible or ineligible to win the prize.
Sorry for not letting you know about that earlier. It totally slipped my mind after I announced it in RT.
Oh, Mark, I didn't mean about the day time thing, I ment the hours, becuase you caught her first and then caught me. It even says so in your post. and we were caught minutes from each other. That's all. but it's not that big of a deal. I'm not sure why it's bothering me so... =/
How can it end if they're still in it? If it's last man standing, technicaly, they're still standing, also probably will be for a long time. EDIT: hahah only me plus Mark have caught people Either everyone else is asleep, or i'm too harsh/have too much time on my hands to actualy read through each persons post
Grr Dave, grr. I don't understand the non-disqualification. So the people who have been caught are.. still in?
Why don't you set a date where a check up can be held so you know who isn't posting. Then you could disqualify them if they haven't posted enough because else this contest is endless. Who says those people who aren't posting enough are still on LPA ? They may never return so this contest won't end...
Yeah, but if you haven't posted anything yet then you're really in trouble. You should be fine, though. You don't have that much to catch up.
I can't believe this is so difficult for you guys. If you're out, you're out. Otherwise, there'd be no reason to have people caught and disqualified in the first place. I put in the rule about posting an average of at least 10 times a day (with 5 of those in RT7) because I knew some people would go about not posting to make sure they didn't use the words. This means they'll have to post an average of at least 10 times a day, which means there's at least 10 chances per day that they'll screw up. It levels the playing field. If somebody posts more than that, it's at their own peril. When the last person is left standing, I'll be checking to see if they've posted an average of 10 times a day over the length of the contest. If the contest goes 20 days, I'll expect to see at least 200 posts from that person since the beginning of the contest. Anyone who has not been caught is still eligible to win. Like I said before, it doesn't matter when you post, it matters how much you post over the length of the contest. Paul only has 15 posts in RT7 over the past 10 days. That means he's about 35-40 posts back of where he needs to be. But he can still come back and do it. It's just that if you do win, but you haven't maintained your post quotas, you can't win the prize. You'll still be the "winner", but you won't get the reward. You guys can check your own post totals by comparing your current posts to the post totals I compiled from May 4th in the first post. I don't need to do it for you.
Can't we just have a day say.. 20 days in, where those people who haven't met this quota get kicked? Because some of them stopped posting here full stop, meaning this contest will go on until they come back, which could be months, may even never come back.
I guess that makes sense. But I don't think any of them have stopped posting here completely. I was led to believe that when people signed up, they'd actually be here until the end of the contest. I don't think I was wrong in assuming that. Heh. Fine then. On May 24th, I'll be eliminating anyone who hasn't met their quotas at that time.
It isn't difficult, there's just a glitch in your rules. If everybody stops posting nobody will ever win...
