It's a great solo, but the best ever? Hardly.

    Leones - 1
    linkinpark_ben25 - 0

Not to mention the pain and suffering caused by trying to understand what the hell this linkinpark_ben25 person is saying. [/b][/quote]
Is it your new thing to start keeping scores of what people say?

Once upon a time, before Weezer was created, frontman Rivers Cuomo played lead guitar in a terrible hair metal band called "Avant Garde." God damn, he can shread. The only good thing about that band was the guitar solos. Fucking incredible...

That having been said, I really like the solo in Queen's "Don't Stop Me Now" and just about any solo that Jimmy Page plays.

EDIT: Sublime has some great solos. "Seed" is a good one, and the solo in "Santeria" is by far the best part of that entire song.

Did you know he did the solo from The Beatles' 'While My Guitar Gently Weeps?'

    ...add that to my list.

hellflame: No, I just thought it would be a nice alternative to the vanilla PWND.

The solo at the end of Lip Gloss & Black by Atreyu is pretty good. It's simple but with the piano, it sounds awseome.

Coffee And TV by Blur has a neat solo. It's just one distorted string with some tapping but it sounds cool with the acoustic rhythm guitar. :p
Other than that I would probably say Cemetery Gates, or most Van Halen and AC/DC songs.
