The beat is quite good, just the backing vocals destroy the song really. Still some funny lines.

 

A Day to Remember- A Shot In the Dark

 

Eminem - Amityville
This is one of the songs I like best late in the album. Some of it just drags for a bit, but that must be due to it being insanely long.

 

Enter Shikari- Mothership

 

Eminem - Kim
This album has been a 7,5 until now. Only 4 songs I don't like until now, basically all the songs with features, in which Eminem could have done a better jobe without the guests. The worst feature is actually not the Snoop Dogg's one, it's actually Dido's, her voice just does no good for me. It's interesting to see on this song that he is yelling at his then-wife, but still talking lovingly about his daughter. This song is fun like most of the others, but also as sincere as Stan. The way he's angry and screams kinda reminds me of Hybrid Theory somehow. The string finishing off the song are amazing as well, I always like strings to be included on songs.

Finally finishing this. Glad I took one hour of my time to listen to this. I consider buying it, but not crazy about it.

Amor Electro - A Máquina (Acordou)
Some portuguese music now. This song perfect and sounds really well live. I have high expectations for the new album, will probably the best portuguese album of the year. Their music is generally amazing lyrically, sonically and vocally. I'm still to find somethig like this band in portuguese music.

Eminem - When I'm Gone
I'll probably buy his Curtain Call: The Greatest Hits because it has the essential stuff and this song is in there and it's my favorite of his singles. Marshalll Mathers LP wouldn't be a bad purchase either.

The other 4 albums have good songs here and there but can be skipped

 

Does the greatest hits make up for all those albums? The only song I know from the first one is My Name Is, from Eminem Show I only now Cleanin Out My Closet, I think, but on Recovery there's Love The Way You Lie (I enjoyed that song on Rihanna's Loud, but his must be the other part) and Not Afraid, both great. As to the rest, I think it can drag a bit like Marshall Mathers did in some parts and some of the guest can screw up some songs like Dido almost did with Stan. Having 70+-minute albums I guess doesn't favor him, it in fact does the opposite, but I've noticed most rap albums are this long.

Eminem - When I'm Gone
Again. I just love this song.

 

Chvrches- Playing Dead

His greatest hits album only covers his first 4 albums. With the 4 albums I mentioned being some of my favorite albums of all time (MMLP and TES are my #1 and #2 rap albums of all time, SSLP is in my top 25), I would highly suggest finding time wether now or far into the future to listen to these albums. The greatest hits is only a glimpse and you miss out on a lot of good songs.

 

I did his music mostly for the singles, largely because I don't have the patience to sit for more than one hour to listen to an album, only if the album flows impressively well like some Symphonic Metal albums and some Taylor Swift albums, newest Brand New album and some more near or just over that duration. Ideal durtion for me is between 35 to 45 minutes regardless of the genre, even knowing that Metal and Rap will almost surely have more than that. Being more open in terms of duration would allow me to explore some more music, but sometimes I just can't

Tame Impala - New Person, Same Old Mistakes
Favorite Tame Impala song until now, just listened to Currents and Lonerism, though, but Currents takes the prize.
