So many albums released today that I plan to check out, good thing the weekend is soon!

So much music in September in general. Then not too much the rest of the year.

As someone who has never heard Odesza before but enjoys that type of music and wants to check out the album, is this album a good starting point or should I start elsewhere?

 

Linkin Park x Steve Aoki - Darker Than Blood

 

I've listened to the new album twice so far, it fits in their discography much like Living Things. A blend of old and new with some experimentation. If I were you I'd listen to their stuff in order of release to experience the evolution but if you don't want to sit through that much music, here are my personal favorite songs from them:

And honestly I like this kind of music but I have friends who go raves and electronic shows all the time and it's not my scence. I don't even take substances but I'd probably faint of dehydration at one of those shows.

Muse - Uprising

Listened to the albums Black Holes and Revelations, The Resistance and The 2nd Law yesterday and found a lot of quality in there besides some singles I already knew. 7 or 8 good songs in every album and some very good guitar solos.

 

No problem, hope you like the songs.

It's funny, Odesza for the most part is one of the more chill EDM artists, the live show is very cinematic, it has epic visuals, live drums, horns, guitar and orchestra mixed with electronica. It's just a beautiful thing to experience. I wasn't really a fan of going to raves and EDM shows but artists like Odesza and Flume changed my mind.

Haters gonna hate. California has some good songs.

 

Are you implying they have actual good songs? All of it is trash, be it the new stuff, or with Tom DeLonge.
