    Watchmen.

10/10, best. fucking. superhero. movie. EVER.

And what a soundtrack! Only gripe was it could be kind of long on repeat viewings (3.5 hours!), but that doesn't detract from the quality of the film in any way.

Just finished reading the graphic novel, it's even better.

Only God Forgives - surreal, stylistic and violent weirdness with great cinematography.

Jiro Dreams of Sushi - 9/10

I don't really care for sushi, or any seafood for that matter, but this documentary was a beautiful and thought provoking piece that I suggest anyone who is a fan of documentaries watch. I really enjoyed it.

    V/H/S/2 - 3.5 out of 5

It's a delightful combination of WTF and LOL at the end after you realize the stories were cared for less this time and innovation in filming more. At least, not including Gareth Evans' "Safe Haven", which actually is really enjoyable and fun, until the final scene which actually had me laughing.

    This!

Horrible Bosses was okay, a bit too much at times but nowhere near as bad people said it was, it was pretty enjoyable.

As for Watchmen, I stand by my satement.

MKH, care to explain what you didn't like about it? ;)

Snyder and his team took a few creative liberties and altered/eliminated a few plot points/characters, which in turn irked some viewers the wrong way as far as I remember.

I went into Watchmen during the premiere without seeking the original comic book out and I probably searched the title once in google images. Consequently, I didn't view the film as an adaptation the first time around. Watchmen is a beautifully mesmerizing ride from the beginning to the end.

Sure: I fell asleep. It felt like I was watching the characters leave their comic book pages into the real world and just do things as they normally would, there was just a feel that made it look like a live-action comic book instead of an actual cinematic experience.

I dunno, maybe I've just been brainwashed by all this Dark Knight stuff.

    Brick - 4/5

I read the screenplay beforehand and was stunned how well it worked on screen. Wonderful acting all around.

Had to keep reminding myself the female lead wasn't Emma Watson.

Emma Watson?? The lead is hot, but I don't see the resemblance haha. I really liked that movie, too.

Because that was the intention of the flick in terms of aesthetics and presentation.

I saw a resemblance. Maybe it's just me.

Stoker (2013) - 4.5/5 - Park Chan-wook is hands down one of the greatest filmmakers of our time. His visual style is unparalleled.

Saw (2004) - Although I wouldn't call this the best film ever, I can see why Chester calls it that. The acting wasn't up top, but hey, this was an independent film. I was interrupted by the sound not matching the video (I should NOT have downloaded a 1080p rip!), so when I look back at the film in my head, it's a little fragmented, but still (not the film's fault). Great plot all in all. Also, the music was pretty good. 7/10

Now You See Me - 7/10

It wasn't as bad as other people made it seem. Sure there were cheesy moments and some plot twists that didn't really make a whole lot of sense, but Kara and I enjoyed it quite a bit.

"Ted" - Much better than I expected from the people behind Family Guy. Funny movie, great actors. 3/5

"Flight" - Dramatic, suspenseful, and well made. Really enjoyed it. 4/5
