What movies did you recently watch?

Pretty much my reaction. I know people hated the ending, but honestly what they gave was exactly what I was hoping for.

 

Taken 2 - 6.5/10

Exactly what you expect it to be, except not quite as good.

 

He has a specific set of skills, you know the rest.

The Grey - 8/10 9/10. That fucking ending, shit yes.

 

Safety Not Guaranteed - I really wanted to love this movie, and I liked it all the way through, but when it ended I felt that it didn't deliver what it promised... But it was really enjoyable movie with a great script and lovable characters.

 

2 Fast 2 Furious - 6/10 - Never watched it before, it was ok.

 

If it wasn't for the watered down fights I'd rank it nearly equal to the first. So fingers crossed for an unrated DVD release like the first. Otherwise, yeah, theatrical cut - 6.5/10

I remember seeing Taken a year before it was released and it was brutal. Totally uncut and awesome. Then I saw it in theaters and it wasn't even the same movie. So lame. Taken 2 felt just like that. I imagine an uncut version would add a lot more to it.

 

Sinister - 3.5/5

I'm biased towards horror movies. I assume they all suck and I rarely bother taking the opportunity to see if I'm right. With that said, Sinister was an enjoyable experience for what it is. It was a very atmospheric horror film, it didn't rely too heavily on jump scares and it presented what little gore it had in a really tasteful way. I thought the end was kind of cheesy, but then again, what ending to a horror movie isn't cheesy? Not a bad movie to see during Halloween season at all.

 

Saw 3D - 4/10 - Now, I dislike all horror movies, and the fact people enjoy getting scared for fun is just stupid to me... I had to watch this one because we watched it on my best friends birthday party. And it wasn't that scary, but it was freaking disgusting... Plus, didn't enjoy watching Chester die. And in my opinion, he didn't really play the role perfectly. Sorry, Chester!

 

Safe House - 7/10

Pretty good. Lots of action and it makes you think a bit. The last half hour could have been handled a lot better, but it was ok.

 

Men In Black 3 - 7/10 Funny in the beginning, a little slow in the middle and a nice ending

The Office - 9/10 Just finished watching the 6th season. And it still keeps me entertained

 

I miss Michael Scott.

 

2012 8/10 Just watched it and it's really great. I liked the structure of that movie. Pretty exciting..at least for me.

 

The Perks of Being a Wallflower, 8/10. Review this Friday.

The Amazing Spider-Man - 7/10

It felt very hollow for an origin story. Spider-Man pulled it off much better I thought. I think the sequels could be a lot better than the Spider-Man trilogy, though. Everything besides the origin was executed very well.
