    The Expendables 2: 8/10

This movie is so hilarious. Not because heads and limbs are blown off but because it precisely knows what it is: not a movie that's running for the Oscars for exceptionally good storyline and script. The action is great, some of the one-liners are just hilarious. Yeah, I had a good time and that's exactly what a movie should do. 100 % enjoyable, no-brain entertainment!

    Taken: 9,5/10

    Bad.Ass. That is all.

    Prometheus - 6/10

Really awful story. Some of the worst writing I've seen in a film of this magnitude. I still enjoyed it, though. It had an amazing atmosphere, and the special effects and CGI were probably the best I've seen. It was seamless. Good performances, too.

There were quite a few things that either made no sense because there's a much bigger picture that we aren't aware of yet, or because the writing was just horrendous. Either way it prevented me from taking it seriously.

I just watched it too and I totally agree. The atmosphere it created was amazing but the bad writing really dragged it down. Overall it was a huge disappointment.

Just watched a slew of Tarantino films.

    Reservoir Dogs - 8/10

    Pulp Fiction - 9/10

    Jackie Brown - 6/10

    Kill Bill Vol.1 - 7/10

    Kill Bill Vol.2 - 6/10

Too tired to post anymore other than a rating for each for the moment.

At 14, Kill Bill Vol.1 blew me away. A decade later, and I find myself not so easily swayed. For instance, one overarching flaw resides upon the character of O-Ren Isshi. The ultimate fate of the character paints a fine picture of the revenge theme, but ultimately lends no importance in the relationship between her and the other leads. Albeit, it is still a visually-inspired and stunning film. Lots of fun to watch.

Kill Bill Vol. 2 on the other hand, is an anti-climactic, disjointed, boring piece of work.

I've seen it in theaters and enjoyed it thoroughly. I'll be viewing 'Death Proof' when I have time haha.

Absolutely hated Total Recall. If not for Battleship, Birdemic, and Pink Flamingos, I'd call it the worst movie I've ever seen.

Has anyone heard anything good about Lawless, or has anyone seen it and liked it?

    Bronson - 8/10

Wow. this movie stars Tom Hardy playing Charles Bronson, one of Britain's most famous and dangerous criminal lunatic (or so the movie says). "Based on a true story," this really isn't a movie you can explain to someone easily. it's told by Bronson himself, who is essentially breaking the fourth wall throughout the film in segments where he is either talking directly to the camera, or performing on stage in a theatre for an audience (which we can obviously assume isn't actually happening and is just a clever way to portray the story telling).

This has to be Tom Hardy's best performance I've seen. Also, the director of this movie is Nicolas Winding Refn, the director of Drive. The music, the visuals, the acting is all pretty strange and I'm just gonna show you the trailer now and maybe you can get a bit of a sense of what's going on in this movie.
