That doesn't disprove the fact that they don't have storylines. Just because it's based on something else doesn't make it any less a musical with a storyline. Therefore, your arguments are invalid.

    Pulp Fiction 4/5
    Reservoir Dogs 4/5

    Both given high ratings because:
    a) Good Tarantino films.
    b) My saliva glands went into hyperdrive when I saw Tim Roth.
    c) Both films brought out the (Tim Roth) fangirl in me.

I'm watching "102 Minutes That Changed America" It's basically a collection of amateur footage of 9/11 all recorded from the people who were there to witness it. I'm telling you. Some of the images while completely dispicable and horrifying have a certain beauty to it. The images are so powerful. It gives you a real feel of the chaos and confusion that the citizens of New York felt on that tuesday. One of the best documentary-esque thing I have ever seen. It's on the History Channel I highly suggest everyone to watch it.

If this movie sucks, I am officially done with M. Night.

    :headbang:

Anyway, the last movie I watched was "Scott Pilgrim vs. The World" back in August and I haven't seen any since. I've been meaning to catch "The American" but I can't seem to bring myself to do so, even though George Clooney plays the lead role.

The Village was my last straw, however M. Night only created the story for Devil. It was pretty good as well, not scary at all but it had a pretty solid script and a couple decent twists. I approve.

Just saw Easy A. Fucking loved it! One of, if not the, best comedies of the year.

I recently saw Inception again. Just as good as it was the first time.

    Gone Baby Gone - 3.5/5
Reminded me too much of Mystic River and it's not just because both came from the same author, but I thought visually they looked a hell lot like each other. It looked really depressing but the story was gripping enough to carry me through it. Casey Affleck... I'm not sure about this guy yet. Yes, he's been getting a lot of acclaims lately but in this film he just seemed to play himself. Nothing about the way he acted popped out... just seemed bland. But like I said, the story was really good. The whole moral issue that dawned by the end left me thinking.

    (500) Days of Summer - 5/5
Made me fall in love with Zooey Deschanel even more. Her character just so mystifying in this film. Gawd. Gordon Levitt was awesome. Gotta say... it was really impressive the way they hopped all over their "love story". The idea was really ambitious and could've easily crashed and burned, but it played out smoothly. Plus, the soundtrack is pretty fucking awesome.

    Frozen - 3/5
This movie could've easily been a really strong thriller if it weren't for some stupid choices made by the characters. Plus there were these subtle weird comedic moments that seemed kind of out of place. But despite all that, the middle chunk of the movie totally kept me on the edge of my seat, making it a pretty decent thriller.
