Everything after Mike's rap in KTTK is gold, and it's easily the heaviest/most energetic part of their discography. But Mike's rap isn't that great, and I don't really care for anything that comes before it either except for the chorus itself.
That's why I can't take this poll seriously. How can you not put Qwerty on here? Or Runaway? Or By Myself? Or Forgotten? Or From the Inside? If you're gonna make a "heavy song" list, don't do a slapdash job at it. And I'm not just talking not putting some songs that should be on the list *cough*Kying From You*cough*
War. You hear "Linkin Park punk song" and think 'Wow that's gonna suck complete ass', but they nailed it. Run Away and From the Inside aren't particularly "heavy" songs. Heavier than their normal output yeah, but they're just parts of otherwise fairly standard rock songs. Runaway doesn't kick you in the balls the same way Rebellion does.
And this is why this thread sucks. Because everyone has different opinions on what makes a song "heavy".
I mean that's a valid enough point but I really don't see how you can really make a solid case that FTI is as "heavy" as Giving Up or No More Sorrow.
From the Inside's guitars are way heavier than Given Up's any day. Meteora had the "wall of guitars" theme, did it not? The guitars are heavy as shit on From the Inside. Sure Given Up may have been more aggressive, but sonically From the Inside sounds leagues heavier to me.
It's just because it's new. I guarantee if we waited over a year after THP released ALITS wouldn't be getting as many votes.
There's a reason that everyone is voting for THP songs. Because it's new, and people tend to listen to new stuff rather than old. Except me of course. I'm just living in the past v.v
The best heavys songs of Linkin Park are: 1 - Qwerty 2 - Given Up (the bridge... oh my god the fucking bridge...) 3 - No More Sorrow 4 - Victimized 5- A Place For My Head
