You need a different thread, then. Maybe something like "what is the most disappointing thing Linkin Park Association has ever done to you?"
The only thing that would truly be disappointing to me would be how the lyrics don't always flow in certain songs, with some lines being really out-of-place (KTTK comes to mind, though I still like this song a lot!). Only standalone lines have been disappointing to me, not entire lyrics for a given song.
It's funny, as time passes, I actually like MTM more and more. I didn't really care for it when I first heard it back in 2007, but now it has considerably grown on me. That said, MTM is still my least favorite album from LP due to its disjointedness, which I find more jarring than in the other albums at times.
Having my ego cock-blocked by Mike Shinoda in front of an entire LPU meet and greet. Since LP had been pretty open to pulling fans on stage to play guitar on the Australia/New Zealand leg of the A Thousand Suns tour, I figured the same would apply when they got back to the States. Add to that the fact that my friend Jay (Pez) got pulled up TWICE to play Faint in Australia, and he learned how to play LP songs on guitar from my tabs and Youtube videos, and I felt like there was no way they'd tell me no. I got selected for the M&G, and I thought it was a sure thing. I practiced what lead licks I'd play over the extended Faint outro. I came to the damn show with a couple of my preferred gauge and brand of guitar picks in my pocket. I was SO ready. ...I got to the M&G, and jokingly told Mike "Hey, remember Pez from Australia? He told me to tell you I should totally get to play on Faint too since I'm the one he learned the song from." Mike's response? He looked at me with the kind of face that says "I'm not sure why you'd ask me this question, but I'm gonna try to be a nice guy about this..." and told me flatly, "Uhh...we're not doing that on this tour. Sorry." And y'all are complaining about albums/projects you didn't like as if the band did them to personally offend you.
The last time they came to my state was nearly 13 years ago and they was the time I wasn't into them. They come to TX but LA is not worth it to them!
Drawbar, to be honest. I mean, it's a pretty good track, but they could've made a much better track with Tom Morello. I can barely tell that he had anything to do with this track.
As far as I'm concerned there have been too much feelings toward Drawbar. The most disappointing thing? I almost wanted to say the Recharged/Living Things Boxset which is in its own quite stupid, but considering Mike & Joe are artists and they love Ghost Town it might be just one of the things they do for fun.
Don't get me wrong, I like Drawbar, but it's the fact that it's the song that they had Tom to collaborate with them on.
