I think there's always at least one on each album that I just cannot train my ears to. Points of Authority Nobody's Listening Hands Held High, Valentine's Day, In Between Robot Boy Until It Breaks (sometimes) Obviously, I was not pleased with MTM.
Agreed. Both tracks featured Mike singing, and he did way better on No Roads Left. The lyrics are also way better.
In my opinion the worst Linkin Park song is 'Cure For The Itch' and HHH instrumental (I'd rather listen the acapella version from 'Road To Revolution' ).
Fair enough that you dislike "In Between" but I feel Shinoda comes off as way more comfortable in the register which he sings in for that song than in the higher one he uses for "No Roads Left". The live show is a high-energy environment and, so, it's understandably more difficult for him to really deliver on the low notes there. To me, he definitely doesn't sound comfortable on the studio version of "No Roads Left". I think they picked a key that didn't exactly fit his voice, and that's also coupled with the fact that he'd never really sung lead - and certainly never belted like that - on a studio recording until the band made "Minutes To Midnight". You could argue he does a better job of sounding anguished, though, therefore making it a good performance So, yes, hate on "In Between" all you want (God knows it'll never be a favourite of mine) but, in my opinion, the lead vocal performance on that song is superior to the one on "No Roads Left". Considering what may have been a lack of experience in doing lead singing on a studio recording, Shinoda did a decent job.
^^^ +1. I like In Between with it's flaws. No Road Left seems to be unfinished or just has something wrong. Probably what minuteforce mentioned. However the song that I hate the most is Robot Boy just because I fail to understand what it is about.
I don't listen to In Between a lot, but I don't think I hate it as I love every LP song, maybe it's because it's so low I can't sing it And heeeey I do like H! Vltg3 :/ By the way, I entered this thread out of curiosity, I was reluctant to enter a thread which asked for LP's worst song. Sounded like a call for catfight Yep, totally this
I believe that hit the floor has to take this honor. As I am sure it might be someone's favorite song, I won't go into a bashing, out of respect for those who love it.
