WOW! sounds amazing, totally good sound coming from that!

 

Judging by the 30 min clip i'm not excited for this song because it just feels weak. It just doesn't sound like a comeback song either but still I look forward to hearing the rest.

They have been away so long from recording new music I would of wanted them to come back in style, QWERTY would of been a great comeback. Still this is only 30 mins so I can't really judge this song too much yet. It does sound good though

i like "announcement public service" way more than this, where's the atmosphere that only linkin park can create in this new clip? they need to return to the underworld where they are so beyond ordinary understanding that critics can't touch them, they just make the music they want to make

Not bad for a 30 second clip. Just from the clip it doesn't sound like something completely different but it does sound different, just really can't tell what's different.

I believe they were TRYING to get away from the 'atmospheric' sound.

Rick Rubin tries to get a raw, stripped sound from most all the bands he produces right? Well this is the result (I think I noticed a lack of backing vocals which is why Chester sounds so different... hence why he doesn't have the 'Meteora' voice.

 

Yeah, They have said that there is no more tripled vocals.

When I first listened to the clip i was like "nooo, i hate this."
After like 50 listens I think it's pretty good. But it seems a little poppy. I don't want to make a judgment on their new direction based on a 30 second clip. I would want to hear more before making a real decision on whether I like this or not. It's different. Very different.

 

no, they were trying to get away from their previous label of 'nu metal', not necessarily the atmospheric side. thanks for your opinion, i'm sure it means a lot to you

 

sounds a little too mainstream pop for me... just my opinion of the 15 seconds. Chester sounded almost generic on it. Once again... only my opinion....
