I won't divulge the station, because they have played singles pre-release in the past and the labels got pissed and they were pulled. I'll just say I live in the Midwest and leave it at that.

I'm a bit selfish as I want to hear that track again...you can believe what you want, I know what I heard and I know the DJ and he has the disc (or at least several songs). The program director of this station managed a very, very well known band is connected.

Again, this is an excellent site, I'm a long time lurker and thought I would post some LP news..I wish I could post a clip.

Well as much as I'd like to believe you, the vague information you've given basically boils your credibility down to zero.

And I'd highly doubt a radio station getting an LP song before the admins here.

Since I was at work, I don't remember the specific lyrics, other than something to the effect of a "Refugee,"...is this a possible track?

It wasn't a fake leak and it wasn't Qwerty, I'm going to try and get a better listen if they play it tomorrow. The station said they were mailed a copy of the disc.

All I remember is that it was amazingly different than any LP I've heard and I think Mike was doing some softer lyrics. DJ said it was track#4 and I informed him that wasn't the official single that the label has said would be released.

 

I hear "refugee" and I can't help but to hear it in a crappy SIB chorus context.

Well, everyone who doubts will feel stupid when the leaks become more apparent prior to 4/2. Why would I randomly come on here with my first posts making up some wild stories?
As I said, this is a first-class site and one of the best LP fan forums out there. I have a great deal of respect for what you do and I'm a huge fan.

I just about fell outta my chair when the promo and voice over came on stating the new single off of Minutes to Midnight. I have no way of securing a clip at work or home..I guess we'll all just have to wait but I'm reasonably sure there will be a leak somewhere else prior to 4/2.

The person who had the disc mailed to them runs the #1 rock station in my area and managed a very popular rock band.

'refuge" but carried out very long.

4. There we go all solved. I dont konw if the word is refuge but it sounds very very much like it and can easily be heard as it when ur busy at work not paying full attention.
