What do you want to hear in Linkin Park's 5th album?

I want: Classical elements, mixed with rap and rock. Piano influence, Poem-like lyric (BITS, Mike part...)

Some more tribal like song like WTCFM, gang vocal (more agressive).

 

yes, i think so too ... they know what they do and the 5th will be also great like HT, Meteora, M2M and A thousand Suns ... they just should do what they want to do ... they always know what sounds great ... I don't want to think about it, they're the band and they know what to do ^^ ... but Mike and Chaz ... hot and awesome sex ... sounds nice ^^ ... they should make a movie about it *cough* ^^...

More Screaming, less soft tracks

Actually, anything thing will do

 

Mike rapping and singing, Chester singing, Brad playing guitar, Phoenix playing bass, Rob drumming, and Joe scratching, with each playing a few other instruments in some fashion.

That about covers it.

I've discussed this before. I want Linkin Park to try something a little more daring, such as maybe a song that exceeds their standard 3-5 minute song format, maybe even reaching into the double digits (10+). I want to see more instrumental proficiency from Brad and Rob and perhaps some more electronic instrumentals like Session, but again stretched out over a longer track.

 

I want an album that combines Krwlng with When They Come For Me but isn't afraid to strip down to some hip hop like high voltage (ep version).

Most importantly I want darker under tones within the music. So I guess I want a combination of the hybrid theory EP and ATS but with classical strings.

That could be a tall order.

 

Alot more strings and alot more beats like The Catalyst, I think Linkin Park should go for more Dark Side of The Moon sounding stuff and possibly include female vocals, would be awesome.

I miss the strings that they would use, like in BTH and SOTD. Not that many in ATS, so would definitely love more of that.

all that in a pimped out double album would be AWESOME!

 

I honestly don´t know what to expect. They always surprised me and did something new. I guess it will be the same with the 5th studio album. Instead of saying I want a little more guitar and little more orchestral sound, I just relax and look forward to the next one. Because one thing I learned is: Your expectations will always be completely different from the final album.

 

Me personally, I'd love to hear them mesh their old and new style. Think ATS with Nu-Metal influences, ina progressive way. This band has so many styles at its fingertips, they could create something totally progressive and fresh. If anyone has heard the band Between The Buried And Me, that type of progression. Take a song like Burning In The Skies, add a rap verse somewhere in it, maybe a scream of angry part (Not IN that song but you understand what I'm going for) and then come back to the clean part. They could make such epic songs with various parts.

Basically take the evolutions in instruments from Meteora (BTH, FTI etc) add raps like Blackbirds, WTCFM, etc, and add in Hybrid Theory breakdowns, with catalyst/blackout type instrumentals.

If that made any sense, you'll understand what they could make.
