Is it hard? Most of them are, but you can also have a soft one.

Is it a curtain? No.
Can you sit on it? No.
Is it expensive? Pff, that realllllly variates!
Do I, Marj, have one in my house? Yes, 3 to be exact.
Can it hold things? No.
Is it a poster? No.
Has it something to do with lamps? No.
