Only heard the songs released with MVs so far. Sounds a lot better than his last album but still isnt the classic Weird Al he used to be. He used to be so original and actually write good lyrics. I think nowadays because of how much the internet changed the game and all the memes an unofficial parodies, it feels as if he's not putting out anything cool or unique anymore. EDIT: He only has one bad album though IMO.
Word Crimes is great. It does have a few grammatical errors though. 1. He used a split infinitive. 2. The usage of who or whom does not depend on what precedes but on what follows. 3. The Oxford Comma is godly and there is no excuse to demean it, and anyone who disagrees is just a jealous hipster, and jealous and crazy, and should be ashamed, and is a bad person, and should feel bad!
Lame Claim to Fame is the only one I have really enjoyed so far. The other ones arent bad but they arent the classic Weird Al Ive known to love. EDIT: I missed Handy. Handy is great too. DOUBLE EDIT: I like the promotion for this album. Way better promotion than his last album which felt like none.
Well the promotion payed off because Al has his first #1 album with sales of 104,700 copies. Let that sink in. Weird Al almost sold as much as THP. Shows what great marketing will do for you.
