I thought this was a great song, the best EDM thing LP (or more specifically just Mike) has ever been involved in.
The live version make it sound like Chester is singing as well, if this is the final version I'm disappointed the mixing is bad and feels like it should be longer.
I love the implementation of the effects on Mike's voice and the follow-through on mikes part. Not sure if he brought it (the effect) in or not, but it's very similar to what he used for his part on Castle of Glass, but this time added more bass and "Stereo/High Pass". I never thought Chester was in there as I've done many LP covers and have spent hours studying Chester's techniques trying to better attain the same sound. I personally couldn't detect Chester in the live version we had.
Listen to the chorus vocal of the live version again and compare it to the one on the studio version - it's not the same. The live version has two voices singing in unison, the studio version has two tracks of Mike singing an octave apart. I'm still convinced Chester doubles Mike on the live version. Whether it's from a portion of the final track that hasn't been heard in any of the studio leaks up to this point, or perhaps Chester's vocal ended up being cut and Martin was just performing using an earlier version of the track, I have no idea, but I still think he's present in the live version.

I've been listening to a copy exactly like this except the intro's longer here. I've been told that it isn't the final one, but how old it is, I don't know.
I really like the lyrics to the verse on this track. If LP can keep consistently great lyrics like these on their new album then it'll be probably their best since ATS.
Yes, I agree. But here I'm talking about lyrics specifically though. As in I kind of doubt that their next album will be EDM. But still, I dig the instrumental as well... so whatever.
