Hey guys, I just came back from school and I wanted to check if there was any news here. But then my laptop gave me this warning: It's Dutch for: ''Warning: Dangerous website. We have tested this website and it is found risky'' Or something like that Just wanted to share this with you guys, don't know if it's the LPA or just my laptop. Ps: does this forum also have a ''spoiler'' button? can't find it.
Hmm, very odd. I can assure you our site is very safe and 100% virus free. Could be your laptop or a false positive for whatever reason. I've never had any threat notifications coming to the site. Not sure about the spoiler tags. I thought it was Spoiler but it isn't haha.
Hmm strange. I didn't get a warning either when visiting the site so yeah it's probably your laptop or something.
The tag is invisi or invisible. I can't remember which. Did McAfee provide any more info, like what virus it thinks it found?
I have Kapersky which gives a positive if someone farts the wrong way on a forum, and it's never detected anything on here. Most likely a false positive, we have 0 viruses here.
I just farted while reading this thread, and judging by the smell, it was definitely the wrong way. Did Kapersky alert you?
Don't use McAfee. McAfee is a complete waste of money that slows down your computer, and gives out false alarms all the time. I suggest using something like AVG Free or Avast to protect your computer.
Even McAfee's own website says we're clean: http://www.siteadvisor.com/sites/lpassociation.com *shrugs*
McAfee and Norton are both absolute garbage. AVG, or really any other independent virus detection program, will protect your computer better a thousand times over. -edit- By "independent" I simply mean "non-major," which I don't consider AVG to be even though it's one of the best and most recommended.
When McAfee pops up that alert, does it give you an option for more info, like what virus it found, etc? If they're going to claim a site is infected, I would hope they provide some more useful information to help the webmaster investigate and fix the issue, if there is one. Saying "There's a problem" without telling you what the problem is isn't helpful at all.
hahhahahahahhaha...XD i recently changed my anti virus to kaspersky and before that i had mcafee, when i had mcafee before, it had the exact same pop up, when i changed didnt pop up
WTF....and that's why McAfee sucks How do they expect us to fix a problem (assuming there even is one) without telling us what the problem is.
