Bleeding Through's "Line In The Sand" has synthesized strings, I believe. It sounds amazing nonetheless. And of course. Korn's acoustic CD. Strings, not alot of violins, more like cellos and such, but still, "Throw Me Away" gives me chills. "See Who I Am" Within Temptation. the intro is amazing.
To both Will and Rachel, I have read PMs from the both of you guys justifying yourselves, and as a result will not be issuing any infractions at this time. Instead I will offer the following words of advice: For Rachel, your 'don't fuck with me' was very uncalled for and even with the edited apology I honestly believe you could've gone without ever saying it at all. The same applies to Will. A good part of your post against Rachel could have been worded a lot better, but instead you seemed to personally attack her a little bit, so I think its time that the two of you both apologize to each other. Disagreements do happen, but they do not need to happen publicly on these forums. For now on, if you have an issue with someone...please send them a POLITELY WORDED PM and try to resolve it through methods other than verbally insulting each other in public. All the latter manages to achieve is people getting warned, and thus such animosity needs to stop. Thank you. Now lets get on topic shall we?
I second that Within Temptation song too....both of Within Temptation's latest CDs are nothing short of amazing though. EDIT: And sorry if I came off as a wise ass. I was just kidding around.
don't worry about it :] i tend to get hostile and shouldn't have presumed you were purposely pressing my buttons. no harm done, its only the internet and yeah, within temptation's just flat out amazing.
OK, I'm sorry I singled you out and got all up in your grill, Rachel. There wasn't any need for it. Truce?
And I'm sorry that I put up my bitch defense mechanism when I misread a post and got you all bothersome and such. Truce.
hell yeah. But to contribute...Evanescence's first album contained quite a few songs that resemble what you're looking for. Personal favourite: Whisper.
Casey's right, Apocolyptica owns this thread. I don't like them too much though, they're ok and have some pretty good songs but it's really hard to take them seriously while they're headbanging etc. to violins and cellos.
