Have you seen the booklet? Its already out in Japan. I've seen some pictures but not clear enough to read the lyrics
I see even the great, all-knowing Minus can't detect all forms of sarcasm. I'm not sure what the speech is about in Victimized. All I know is it always brings back thoughts of When They Come for Me.
But Chester doesn't scream anything like screamers in hardcore music. Apples to oranges my friend. I will say that Given Up's bridge is arguably powerful enough to be heavier than Victimized, but unlike Victimized it doesn't last for 1:47.
I have no idea what that speech is about. I opened the song on Audacity and listened to it backwards and also at a very slow speed but I still couldn't figure out anything besides 'Linkin Park', and 'back' like someone said, and something like 'we're the only ones'. But I have no idea.
It's definitely one of the hardest LP tracks. I'm not sure if it's the hardest one. QWERTY just blew my mind away when I heard it for the first time. People tend to forget 'Hit the Floor'. Yes, I know for most LP fans it's one of the weakest LP tracks (I don't really dislike it) but it's also very very powerful.
I heard someone say it had something to do with The Notorious B.I.G. Not sure though, may have been they lyrics
Anyone else feel like this is this albums When They Come For Me? It feels like a punk track poking fun at the LP fans who are butthurt about HT/Meteora.
It's probably distasteful to make fun of actual LP fans. I take it more as a statement to the various bloggers and the parts of the media in general that decry Linkin Park's new direction. But, that said, I don't really think this song is in the same vein as Mike's verse in WTCFM. I took it more as a general statement of resistance to a dominant person/group in one's life. You want a victim? I'ma put you there with 'em.
The main reason I was asking is because of the line "As this siren climbs higher on this violent rhythm" Waiting For The End reference?
Sucks this song is so short, i love every single bit of it and I'ts punk feeling is awesome i hope Linkin Park expands on this style in upcoming albums. Also Qwerty has nothing on Victimized
Loooool I'm hardly on these forums, but I'm on enough to know minus's post are pure sarcasm or troll, so bam! Sarcasm on sarcasm... I think..
this was a real treat for the hybrid theory fans. the lyrics arent too cheesy and wasnt ruined like the end of blackout. definitely my favorite track
The track is awesome, and I like the end, but ATS should have a ''firecracker'' record like Victimized is, and that would be it.
I just thought, you guys think they'll play Victimized in Bleed it Out like they did with A Place For My Head?
why is VICTIMIZED only 1:46 long???!!! why in the blue hell is VICTIMIZED only a minute 46 seconds??!!! this song is mad crazy good, and when it ended so abruptly, i was like wait.....is that it??!!! after getting pumped with the drumming and chester's screaming, the song just......ended?? anyone know the story behind this song?? it sounds great, no, amazing.... but why is it so damn short???!!! i'm sure they could have extended it with more thrashing and screaming in the break down, and then the repeat chorus to cap it off.....why not do that??!! i'm thinking they wanted to go 'against the grain' with this one, and not have the typical song formula, and just end it, but come one man, i feel cheated here!!! i wanted more of this song!! what you guys think??
