Really liked Unshatter, Emily's vocals carry the song for me. Like many pointed out, the guitar here is unusual for LP (it reminded me of Monster by Skillet, although it's different). This plus the lack of electronic elements on the track is maybe causing the disconnection of the song by some fans, but I could see Chester singing this song, it's not that far-fetched. I like this more than Up From The Bottom, but it's clear why they had to write another song to promote the deluxe version, Unshatter it's very demo like.
It only took a few hours before it started growing on me. I'm a helpless fanboy. Those riffs are fucking GREAT. They have such a great way of writing such catchy hooks consistently.
It's a grower for sure. I wasn't sold on it after the initial few listens, but it hits different today. My only small gripe with the song is I think the 2nd half of the chorus (from "I don't know how ..." ) sounds maybe a bit too much like standard alt-rock BUT LP hadn't really given a go at that style before, and Emily nails the vocals. And I've had that damn riff stuck in my head non-stop.
