^Nope. If you're gonna make a death metal song, don't make it so perfect. That's not what the genre's about. You can tell me I'm generalizing and pigeonholing, whatever.
The drums, for example. I'm not even sure if they were actually played and recorded, but they don't sound like they were.
The drums in Victimized (especially during the verse) are some of the best on the record, if not the best. The were all actually recorded except for the ''whip'' sound, I think. I don't know what's your problem with the drums. Plus, at the end, and during the chorus, he's just hitting the snares. Nothing ''perfect'' in that, just straight up awesome.
Victimized is just an overall great song. I love it. I've loved it ever since I first heard the song for the first time. It's heavy, fast and right up in your face and stays there the whole time. I'm happy LP put it on the album.
They're not aiming for visually interesting. They have some cool lights and videos going on, but they're not trying to be Rammstein or Nine Inch Nails...
Linkin Park is a wasted potential of a band. They had something good going with MTM and ATS, but flat out dropped it in return for only decent stuff that isn't going away.

MTM has cool songs. But as a record, if you have to play it from the start to the end, it's damn boring.
