Yeah, his past works are brilliant, but the fact remains that he dumbed-down due to his breakthrough into the mainstream. I do believe him when he says that he wants to release his next album without it being dumbed down. As for the talent/success thing, I'd argue that Flo Rida and whoever else are talented, maybe not in the music sense, but they must be in some sense to have managed to wind their way to the top (if only extremely briefly). Edit: Plus you have to take into account comedy value, eg. Rebecca Black, possibly even Soulja Boy.
i want to go to an ofwgkta show just so i can mosh to friday by rebecca black goblin is pretty cheesy in parts. radicals being one of those songs that makes me cringe. the beat for transylvania is nasty as fuck, but i hate the rest of the song. the ending to golden kills me. the rest of the album is solid, though. they have such an extensive discography already, though, that i focus on one member at a time for a month or two (first Earl, now Tyler, moving to Frank Ocean...) Mike G sucks i kind of just love the fact that, as people, these dudes seem cool as fuck. tyler is a big fan of the Biebz, wants to meet Selena Gomez while he's in Europe, obviously loves the Friday song... the music is taken seriously (well, kind of) but ultimately it's just some teens and 20 somethings trying to have fun and still be successful. They're totally the Jackass/CKY crew for hip-hop. That's a perfect way to look at them, actually.
I'm not unemployed btw. And there's no snow here either lol. Next time I post something unserious I'll write at the end of it, just to make sure that you know I'm joking.
I think he's garbage but he. seems to be popular where I live. I just wanted to see what people here thought.
You think he's garbage but you start a thread about him? Haters. excuse me while I go make a thread about Skrillex
