Holy fuck, that's awesome. I'm actually really looking forward to this album now. I'm actually just about as excited for this as I was for Ascendancy. I much prefer Heafy's vocals on this to The Crusade, and I'm liking the instrumentation too.
Wtf, is this Matt that screamed on Ember To Inferno, Ascendancy and sang on The Crusade? He sounds way different.
After another listen I gotta say I'm not impressed at all. Matt's vocals are improved but he's still trying to do the James Hetfield thing in this song. Hopefully the other songs will be better.
not Impressed. It's still a new song, and he sounds like he is trying too hard to scream. If the whole album sounds kinda like this, Im worried =(
At the start of the song the drums, rhythm guitar, and the way Matt delivers the vocals all remind me of Max Cavalera-type stuff. It's a good song, not one of their best but it probably works as a taster for the album. I've said this before but I think the Hetfield comparisons are a moot point, I mean how else are you supposed to sing to that kind of music?
Can someone explain to me why everyone thinks that he sounds like James? Give me some minute marks or something
I don't know...it just seems his vocals have just deteriorated since The Crusade. I literally can't listen to that album the whole way through because his vocals are just so fucking terrible.
It's not so much on this song but there are a lot of Trivium songs where it seems like he attempts to emulate Hetfield's vocals. I can't really think of anything off the top of my head though. I actually haven't listened to Trivium in a long time.
Could be practicing a new way to scream without possibly ruining his voice. I dunno, I love his scream regardless, probably my favorite screamer.
yeah, its not that hes trying to hard, hes doing more of a ember to inferno scream. that kinda screams dont kill his vocals. Into the mouth of hell we march. is a good fucking song. and KG is good aswell
