If it's the thing with organs and shit, it's not Machine head, it Die Krupps. if you go to Machine head's website, they have a 'making of battery' thing in their media section, you can hear little bits of it in (live in the studio) there. sounds pretty good..

The Bands. Funeral for a Friend...errr, I'm not dissing them, but covering a Metallica song? I can't see it being good. Bullet for my Valentine are the last band i'd choose to cover a Metallica song. There are so many better bands out there, and metal ones too. Why choose hardcore/emo/screamo/gothic rock/whatever bands to cover Metal classics.

Just doesn't make sense to me. The only one I want to hear remotely is Mastadon's cover of Orion, but it hasn't got me holding my breath.

I somewhat agree with you there. Trivium do an amazing MoP cover, Mendeed's cover should be pretty good, machine head's cover will be amazing, and Mastodon should be pretty good. but i have to agree with the others.. Everyone will strugle to pull of Hetfeilds vocals, because his voice is unique, and i can't see bands like FFAF and BFMV pulling it off too well souly because of the vocals. but we'll see... i'm still looking forward to this though. And point is, it's a tribute album, not an exact repleca. that's the idea. it's meant to sound fresh and new, yet still with the same classics.

So it does.. eh.. i'm preodering me anyway, so it doesn't affect me. ..hold on a sec. just had an idea. i'll edit if it works.

EDIT: Yeah. click on preoder, it says The April 8, 2006 issue of Kerrang! is a landmark issue in the magazine's 25 year history. and there's no mention of the 5th, so i guess it is the 8th

They don't scream on Master of puppets. Matt is one of the people that can almost do it justice.

Someone from Trivium can sing? It would seem every one of their songs that I've ever heard has taught me quite the opposite.

 Most people say that, but, ever heard Roadrunner united - The end? That's trivium's vocalist singing on that. Anyway, update. Some time next week (not sure when) samples of the songs will be put up on kerrang.com, so i'll keep an eye out for that one, and post when they're up.
