Touch Screen vs QWERTY Keypad vs Normal 3 Letters to A Number

I've never used a QWERTY keyboard on a phone before, I've seen everyone with those Nokia E71's or something and if someone had fat hands they would hit J,K,H,U,N,M,Y,I,L instead of just J.

 

I just need to know what the deal is with you and your growing hands. 'cause they shouldn't be after age 14 or so.

 

Then I'll settle for either because.....I won't say what I was about to say because you'll probably make a joke or something about my hands and my penis. LOL

QWERTY is the shit ... on a computer. The way a good phone has its QWERTY keyboard made is ridiculously small, and a touchscreen keyboard is usually the same size, too, so at that point when you see they're both small, it depends on coolness - touchscreen FTW.

 

A touchscreen qwerty keyboard with the proper software for predicting words is the fastest way to type.

 

T9 for touch...?

 

I use Swiftkey right now but I've also heard good things about Swype.

 

I had a crappy flip phone for over 3 years, so I got used to the 3 letters to a number thing and could text almost as fast as people with QWERTY keyboards on that, but I have to say QWERTY is a lot easier to get the hang of. However, I HATE using a QWERTY keyboard to dial numbers, because on most phones, that puts it in a horizontal orientation that really sucks for talking on the phone. That's why I got a Pantech Matrix last year - it's a piece of junk compared to a lot of what's out there these days, but it slides in 2 directions and has both types of keyboards on it.

 

Both suck, imo. Qwerty on a phone takes getting used to. I have had hated it since a long time.
T9 on a normal keypad is the best deal for me. You can even hit hard on the keys and you'll know they'll be alright and the word would come up just right!
