Thoughts of Randomness Vol. 21

I think I'm going to shave my head if this keeps up. Totally bald.

 

Why?

 

Because I've been trying to grow my hair out, and all I've been doing is dripping sweat into my eyes for the past week, because our air conditioning is broken, and our landlord's too cheap to fix it right away.

Also, my sister says I look like Andy Samberg. Not sure if that's good or bad though.

 

He's not bad looking.

Trying to grow long hair in the summer is never a good idea.

 

Hah, I'll take her statement as a compliment then.

I figured that out kinda. I'll probably change my mind on shaving it off later tonight, when it cools down, but if the air isn't fixed soon, I think I'll just have it cut the way I normally have it.

 

How long is it?

 

It'll take him to the moon and back.

 

In the back, it almost hits my shoulders, and the sides almost hit the bottom of my jaw. The front hits the bridge of my nose if I straighten it out. Since my hair's naturally only straight when it's shorter, it looks like it's shorter than it is, though.

 

I used to have some home-made fingerpicks... they're great for playing really fast licks on the guitar, and on the bass, despite the fact that they were originally intended for banjos.

It's amazing what you can use to make things easier when you're playing an instrument. For instance: quarters make for better pickscrape noises.

 

Ava is his daughter's name so when he came up with the band name, he made AvA the logo because of her, and hey a v in the middle just looks cool.

 

Oh. That makes sense. Now I get it. AvA it is.

I still don't believe this. I think it's something fans made up to try and pull some sense from them thinking that an A upside down was actually a V. I mean, the band name is Angels And Airwaves, not Angels Vnd (or Vs) Airwaves It's even got the line across the middle of the upside down A.

 

I bet they are. I can't get around them no matter what I do. I haven't tried a thumb pick yet though, so maybe that'd help.

Well yeah..but his daughters name is still Ava, he said it in the documentary and on a few Modlife public videos in the past.

 

So he has confirmed it was meant to be like that? I've asked people about it before but they've never been able to back it up properly *shrugs*

Fair enough anyway. I'm gonna call my band Angels Vs Airwaves

 

Yup, in the documentary DVD he shows this drawing of it and flips the A and is like "See? AvA! also after my daughter" or something like that. I haven't seen it in a while but I remember thinking it was pretty neat.
