Parent Teacher conference today, where they will tell me that my daughter is behind in school and just not doing well. Gee, like I didn't already know that.

 

My problem was almost always that I was arrogant. Very, very bright, but, apparently, arrogant. I got less and less complaints about that as I got older, though. Thank Carlisle.

 

I wish it were that simple. There's a lot more going on there then you know about.

She is very bright, she had some testing done recently, and her IQ was 110, which is extremely high for a 7 year old.

 

My IQ is 150-something. I don't know how good that is.

Either way, on that basis I've gotten less intelligent since I was 12. I remember it being measured in the 160s then.

 

195. Like no other, it's mostly problem solving more than anything else.


I have no idea, I've never taken the test .

 

I've not the attention span for IQ tests

 

Mine at 23 was 160, not sure about now. It has something to do with test scores divided by age or something.

 

An IQ test is nothing more than problem solving, right?


A test is nothing compared to what you can actually do with your mind.

 

An IQ test is an amusing, often tiring sort of test that some people use as a sword, brandishing it above other people's heads, saying, "I'm more intelligent than you!"

 

Yeah, exactly. Hypothetically speaking you'd think someone who's both dyslexic and dyscalculic wouldn't do very well with an IQ test, but they could still have the potential to be really intelligent.
