And yes, Buddhism isn't a religion of faith as much as it is a guide to living life. That's why I love it.

Christian by faith, Buddhist mentality. I'm what you would call an extremely liberal Christian. Or rather, a Christian who would be executed for some of his opinions.

I keep forgetting that there are Buddhists that believe in a creator, I generally see the religion as, like you quoted, "philosophy and guide to live a more balanced, peaceful life."
